For the first issues, i.e. taking selfies, do not use the on screen shutter button at all. Instead, use the volume up/down button to take the photo. It is much easy to hold in that way. There will be no risk of dropping the phone.

They should invent gesture controls. On a Samsung (and I am not here to troll), you can hold your hand up or say "shoot" and the phone will take 3 or 5 selfies, so you could even move a bit around to have variations.

Your videos are very professional: you don’t gabble, but don’t waste time either; you keep things to the point; you always use good screenshots to show us what to do; you speak clearly, with good diction; you never use annoying KZitem interjections such as “so let’s go ahead and…”; you use the word “literally” correctly. @@jeanwillis2646 Hi Jean! Rickrolling is when those present are treated to an unexpected appearance of Rick Astley’s 1987 video for his hit song, ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rickrolling Rickrolling people has become a gentle trick to play on people. At my friend’s wedding, as she was walking up the aisle, the music changed to a classical music version of Never Gonna Give You Up, and we all laughed because the bride had rickrolled wedding attendees. Pulling a Rickroll off on people has become a fine art at this point. It appears in memes online, and the song will pop up in the last place you expect it. Nothing new in this one - but something I´d like to add. The torch in the Apple Watch is a feature I use much more in my kids room than the iPhones torch (exactly as you decribed it). There is a bonus feature: First enable cinema mode. If you then start the torch it´s red light which is not as disturbing as white light. You can get the same by swiping left twice after you started with the standard white light.
@yourDecisi0n

I don’t get why Apple did not just put the red torch in front of the white torch in any scenario. I mean, you can always swipe right for a brighter flashlight, but in very dark places, where you prefer the red flashlight, you would have it

They include photos that were exchanged, etc. I have the photos, but deleting the message loses the context, too, of course, and I am very reluctant to just delete them…they form a sort of “timeline” that I frequently go back to, particularly with certain people. Is there any good way to archive them, so that you can keep and access them if you want to? Maybe I am alone in wanting such an alternative, but I’d sure like to be able to do it.

The most annoying thing on the iphone is the light and camera buttons at the bottom of the screen that turn on the flashlight by accident when you're putting your phone in your phone case or pocket so the next time you reach for the phone the battery is dead because the flashlight's been on for 4 hours or because you had accidentally opened the camera app and killed the battery. Many thanks - was not sure how to contact you other than through comments on KZitem.

No need to be concerned. I perhaps didn't make it clear enough in the newsletter, but the fact that I experienced an issue when upgrading does not mean there's a wider issue, it was just that I got unlucky. If there was, it would be all over the news. Yes, there's a chance that you could also have an issue when updating, this is the case every time, but the chance is slim. And if you do face an issue, Apple Customer Support will likely be able to assist you.

The line you describe is for gesture control. It is your Home Bar and therefore cannot really be removed. I have good news for you, though. Whenever you accidentally swipe up on this line, you will go to the home screen as you might already have noticed. However, when you now swipe right on the line, you will reopen the app you just closed. Do it once more and you will see the second last app you have opened. You can then swipe left to open the last app you opened. So, swiping left and right controls which recent app you will see. For a more visual approach, you can also drag the line upwards and hold it for about a second, then you see all your recent apps
