After using the FS7 for 4 years, there are features that are inherently different from the new Sony FX9. Keep in mind that none of these have nothing to do with the image quality- it's more about workflow and menu differences. Overall, I think the FX9 is a fantastic camera and is in a similar boat to the FS7 when it was released: a lot of features and refining were done with firmware updates and quickly became one of the most popular production cameras in the world. If you haven't used the FS7 before, all of these points likely won't matter as much to you. Hopefully this is helpful if you're considering purchasing camera yourself- it's nice to know what's changed and what hasn't.
Update: disregard #5, the distance display (meters/feet) setting is buried in the menus.
