On the issue of soap and hygiene I will point out that microfiber washcloths can be used with very little water and will clean- I know women who remove makeup with them without soap or make up remover, just a splash of water. Using the microfiber, if you are trying to conserve water and soap in an emergency situation, could be a helpful option. It doesn't kill germs, it just removes them.

Another good item is shaving foam, and it is cheap. I sometimes have to get cleaned up quick, and race out,1 as I am doing grungy work in the yard. I can grab a can of shaving foam, Barbasol is a fav, As my doctor recommended it years ago, for skin on my pregnant tummy being so flakey dry. I just fill the sink a bit with warm water, as I am stripping down, and used glops of the foam to scrub down, and it is easy to rinse with the cloth redampened. I feel so fresh and clean , and I'm not totally drying out my skin, and can still get a nightly shower later.

Cut a strip of cardboard long enough to roll tightly and git inside the can level with the top. When I make candles I pour the leftover wax into the can saturating the cardboard. You brought up Bee stings. One thing I learned 50+ years ago was within 15 minutes and before the white blood cells are called to the spot of the sting I apply a little vanilla. Not the fake stuff either. I had a wasp sting me on the nose as a kid and around 2 hours later the stinger had fallen out without me touching it. No aspirin needed or anything else. I also have used it on ant bites, bees stings, and on my arms if out camping and get a little bacon grease splatter. I always heal faster with it. I have been using it for years and lost count how many years of Scouting I applied the stuff. Scoutmasters mostly do not know about it. It had to come from a dedicated BSA Commissioner. Remember 15 minutes is the max time that you can use it or less depending where the sting or bite happens. Good videos here too and enjoy them.

In an emergency it can be used as a small heat source, and it can also warm up canned foods or boil a cup of water for coffee. As mentioned in the video, each Sterno only lasts about 4 to 6 hours so it would take A LOT of them to get us through a month of no electricity during cold weather. If you live in a warmer location, canned heat may be ok if you can keep a couple windows open. Up north in the winter, people hate to open a window and lose more heat than they are gaining. If they don't open a window, you die from 'CO' in your sleep. Have a better heat source than that stuff. have a least a wood stove or outside survival heater that can blow clean warm air into the house instead of a flame inside the house. The rest of the stuff I agree, good advice.

I have a lot of dust to dawn lights. Because I live in Arizona we have rattlesnakes. I don’t want to accidentally walking from one building to the other and step on one. However, I told everybody else it’s so that’s what I’m shooting it. It gets there attention but technically yes, but more so I don’t step on a snake. I would hate to get bit by rattlesnake.

I cannot stand the sight of snakes. All you have to say is that "we have snakes here", That is enough to stop me from moving there. We have snakes in upstate NY also but several years may go by between me seeing one. That's too often for me but Alaska is just to cold for me.

May I add something BLEACH! It’s very cheap, and you can use it to purify water, or sanitize surfaces.

I have been prepping since the late 80s and then you were called a conspiracy theorist, crazy prepper among other things. It doesn't bother me one bit what others think. I live my life for me not them and I know it's the right thing to do. Great video by the way with very helpful info.

Proverbs verse states a wise man sees trouble coming and PREPARES A fool doesn’t, and PERISHES. Think that says it all.
