Here I (Tanis Leonhardi; she/her/hers; of Seattle) provide my take on the 122 Swimming World Cup medals of Sarah Sjöström (of Sweden) that she won across 9 editions through 2023 (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2017, 2018, 2023). I contextualize the count in terms of her 23 individual medals from World Aquatics Championships (*most of any male or female swimmer) including the 2024 World Aquatics Championships (pool swimming in a 50-metre long pool; also called long course metres), 28 medals from European Aquatics Championships (*most of any male or female swimmer; pool swimming in a 50-metre long pool; also called long course metres), and 17 individual medals from European Swimming Championships (pool swimming in a 25-metre long pool; also called short course metres).
