I assume this project is just for the slaves who passed through Louisiana? I found out that my Grandmother was a runaway from Mississippi. But all of her children were born here in New Orleans. So my Grandmother's genealogy may not be included in this.

You can start by building your tree. I use Ancestry. Their documents will pop up from all over the US. It costs if you want to check out the world documents. My maternal side is from Louisiana, and I'm back to the 15/1600s with some of them. I'm even further on other lines (we each have 128 5th great-grandparents). You'll find ship logs, church records, military records, indentured files, and see those who were enslaved. A huge chunk of Louisiana "Creole"/ Cajun people come from Canda (Indigenous and France). But each one of us has a different story. Find yours 💪🏾

Lmao what a joke there was no slave trade. 🤣 we are American indians and have always been here. What a joke. Age of truth is out now.

Why have I been able to find slaves in my family then through Census records on one side of my family? Even our family name is a variation of the white slave owners who owned my ancestors. Not all black people are the same or, have the same history and origin. There are Natives who are indeed copper skinned people but, it's disgenious to say that none of our ancestors were slaves.
