1 decluttering is an ongoing process 2 Don't compare with other's just keep upgrading and become better version of yourself 3 put thing's back to it's destined place after usage 4 Be grateful towards life as we already have the essentials to survive 5 get rid of digital declutter regularly and montior your screen time usage 6 adopt mindful/intentional purchase to reduce impulse shopping spree by using wishlist strategy 7 embrace the space around you as emptiness itself should be appreciated 8 say NO to other's and YES to yourself 9 Quality over quantity in a minimalist budget by spending less on item's and saving more 10 Minimalism is a journey not a destination Love from India 🇮🇳

"Comparison is the thief of joy." Absolutely. I do this all the time. Time to figure out how to be happy with my life and stop looking at how others are living. I don't hoard expensive things but I do see people with partners and homes and wish I had those things. That's mental clutter and I need to clear that out. Thank you for these wise words 🙏🏿

Sarah Dawson.....I do the same you do, I literally hurt because I am alone. It is so hard to be alone & feel things are worth bothering with! Most days I can be very grateful for what I have & the peace "being alone" can bring, & then there are other days that I let loneliness steal my happiness from me! Even though I don't want you to feel this way (sometimes) too, it helps me to realize I am needlessly robbing myself of happiness because you have been kind enough to share that your thoughts steal your happiness from you! I never thought about my thoughts stealing my happiness! Thank you for sharing your thoughts & realizations!

You have shared wonderful ideas here. Self discipline is key to minimalism, but it can be done at a gentle pace to keep the mind and body in good health and balance. The simple act of cleaning and placing objects back to their designated position brings order. I love the words of artist William Morris, who said "Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.” Being grateful for what we have motivates us to take good care of those items. I really enjoy your thoughtful words and the process that you share as you go through the minimalist journey. :-)

Hey, CK! Another fabulous video!! I loved that edit where one marker became, like, a dozen markers; I laughed out loud when I saw that! I’ve been busy with work deadlines for a while and had to take a break from KZitem watching for a couple of weeks, so I’ve missed some of your recent videos. I’m looking forward to catching up! But first, I must attend to those breakfast dishes sitting on the counter before, as usual, they become breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes and I spend an hour + in the evening washing them.... Thanks again for all your good minimalist tips and reminders! Saludos desde México!!

1 biggest minimalist thing I've done is swapping double/king size beds for sofabed or recently single bed. At first it'd be for being efficient and not spend excessive time in the bed. Then it became a real downer to know that furniture with only one function is taking so much space and time to tidy! I also regret buying more than my usual amount of pair of shoes. Real stressful thing. Reusing repurposing and upcycling are a life changer! Definitely with OCD it's so much simplier to always put things where they were and leave surfaces/drawers clear &organized. Real problem though when a house help doesn't get that simple principle.

One thing I've always found myself struggling with is using up stuff I buy. I drew and made crafts, so I have a lot of stuff related to them, but I had been under so much stress in the past year that I couldn't create anymore. It will be a little hard for me to get back into the habit of making things and using up the materials I already have, so I try to hold back from adding more to it.

Hi. I practice minimalism not in the physical so much by now, but in my actions. If I cook, I would go to the different counters for every ingredient I think of in the process of inventing the dish. Instead of grabbing all the small bottles with spices at once, I deliberately make turns, I go to the storage room three or four times, each time taking a portion of the ingredients. And I cook on stages. When the pasta is ready, I start with the sauce. Not two at a time. Thus is how I cook right now. It's minimal because I put effort in taking time and making the process silent and peaceful, even though I know I can play music while I do it, or I can bring all ingredients in, and then start the cooking process. I practice zen mentality to soothe my heart from pain. And this is like giving myself compassion. Oh, I forgot this ingredient, I need to go back to grab it ha ha. Instead of feeling anger because I forget . Minimalism is a self development process. A deep desire to make peace with our humanity. Forgetfulness, losses, imperfection. That's why in Japanese zen pottery, the most valuable pieces are rough and crooked seemingly, vyet they hold the minimal harmony principle, thus they are considered perfect and are highly valued. I'm a cultural studies person. That's how I collected all that information - knowledge that later on I developed a practice on. Thank you for the awesome content! My best wishes, E
