Al Castill what fork do you currently have? Air is worth it but a nice coil could still make a difference.

@Al Castill high-end coil shocks are as good and even better than any air shock on the market depending on the brand and model. Anybody who tells you otherwise is either a shill, a sponsored Rider or somebody who doesn't know their ass from their elbow when it comes to the physics of telescopic Fork suspension. There are several good coil Fork manufacturers that provide MTB Forks. Plan on spending $1,000 or more. Öhlins, Cane Creek, DT Swiss & Push ( both actually utilize both a coil and air) 👍

Thank you!!! This is a great video making it simple even for the most novice like me. I recently had my suspension serviced and I made the mistake of setting the bike settings exactly the same way without running this set up procedure. Unfortunately my rear suspension was rebounding too fast, caused me to go over the bars and fractured my wrist. I would love to see a video on rear suspension set ups when you have a shock with multiple setting like the cane creek.

This is by far the clearest and simplest tutorial in correctly adjusting your suspension. Highly recommend to viewing it and doing it. So far....it improved the ride of our MTBs dramatically....The bikes have never felt or ridden better than they have in the last 2 days than all the other 50+ days. Plan on spending more like 30 minutes per bike and 60 minutes if you need to remove fork or shock tokens per your tutorial outcomes. Excellent work Bike Radar!

Great job explaining this so clearly. It's already a confusing topic as it is. I didn't hear anything about tips for best compression settings? Correct me if I'm wrong but what I think I know is: Firmer + comp = better for loose dirt & smoother, flowly fast trails. will stiffen the suspension and make the bike rider higher in the stroke? Softer - comp = best for chunk, roots rougher terrain, more plush of a ride. Thanks for the vid!
