This is USA calling... What I luv about Eden Lake is it proves England's backwoods rednecks are just as SCARY and DANGEROUS as ours! (It has been compared to Deliverance!) If some Yank production company ever decides to remake Eden Lake Stateside (surprised one hasn't yet!) it could take place in Gator-Infested Swampland, Florida or Anywhere-In-The-Whole-State, West Virginia!

I appreciate you listing some movies that don't appear on every single scary movie list, LOL, but the problem is that I wouldn't call these the "most terrifying" vacation films. I mean, you could do a list of specifically the "most terrifying horror movies about vacations in cabins" and I still wouldn't put "The Breed" on it."The Evil Dead" (although you could argue that in the remake they weren't on vacation), "Cabin in the Woods," "The Strangers," and "Cabin Fever" are all much better films, and those are just the cabin-specific vacation films. There are actually a ton of great movies about a couple or a group of friends, or even a solo person (usually a writer) going on vacation and something awful happening. It's become a horror trope at this point.

But I do like some of this list over all. Perfect getaway is an underrated blast of survival thriller. Hostel is good imo because of the beautiful direction leading up to the torture sequences. Why do you have to ruin every movie you recommend by giving away the ending? There were some really interesting movies you suggested here that I have never seen, and now I never will because I know how it ends. I just don't get the need for you to go that far. Why can't you just suggest and give a generic outline while leaving the ending alone. There was literally no need to disclose the ending of these movies at all. It didn't add anything to this list. It just assured I and many others probably will never watch these movies.
