Beetroot godhumai dosa in Tamil | Beetroot dosa in Tamil by Just Samayal | 5 min instant breakfast recipe | healthy breakfast recipe - Today we see how to make healthy beetroot godhumai dosa in Tamil. This Beetroot Godhumai dosa or the beetroot dosa is veey good for health and good for weightloss too.
You can make this beetroot godhumai dosa either crispy or soft. Here I have made this as a soft dosa only.
When your kids doesnot want to eat the beetroot as a veggie, then you can make this colorful beetroot godhumai dosa and give to them.
I have made this dosa as a very simple one with very less ingredients and yet they tastes great.
Ingredients
Beetroot - 1 small size
Green chilli - 2
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Whole wheat flour - 1 cup
Rice flour - 1/2 cup
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Coriander leaves - handful (i have not added here)
Oil - as required
Method to make this Beetroot Godhumai Dosa
1. Take a small sized beetroot, remove its skin and chop them into small size.
2. Add it to the food processor or blender
3. Also add in the green chillies and the ginger to this. Add water and grind to smooth paste.
4. In another big bowl, add the wheat flour and rice flour.
5. Also add the cumin seeds and the required salt. Now add the ground beetroot paste and add required water to make it to a dosa batter consistency.
6. Here i have added 1 and 1/2 cup of water. If you need thin batter, adjust the water accordingly.
7. Let it rest for 10 min for a soft dosa.
8. Sprinkle little oil in the tawa and pour one laddle full of batter and spread to a round shape.
9. Add 1 tsp.of oil and cook for 2 min.
10. Flip to other side and cook again for 2 min.
11. Remove from tawa and serve hot.
