My best tip for making dashboards is add a background colour, only needs to be 60-80% transparency, add it to the report page right at the very start of the process and then remove or change when complete, it helps so much for visibility of where your visual's edges are as they all have natural whitespace at the edges. I do this every time I create a new page. Also for big report packs, keep it similar, not just fonts, colours and sizes but the 'grid' you're working on, it makes it much easier on the eye. Good top 10 here though Leila. 👍

I am not sure if it's me doing something wrong or what but I experienced in the past that locking objects only works while working with the file. Once you save and close it and open it again, items are not locked which makes it quite useless in case you do share the PBIX and do not want people moving things around.

Hi, Leila. Thanks for this wonderful tutorial, been following your lessons with great enthusiasm. In 'Organizing Measures', when you hide 'Column 1', the KPI table automatically gets moved to the top. I also tried deleting the column, and the same thing happened, i.e., the KPI table was moved to the top. What's the essence of hiding as opposed to deleting? Is it possible to somehow reuse the blank column later when you hide it? In which scenarios is the reuse possible?

Thanks for those tips. If I may add, using Tabular Editor as external tool is convenient as well to manage measures (moving around, display in folders, formatting). For background image, I usually have the same on every page so importing is tedious. Embedding the image in a custom theme is more efficient in my case. Lastly, locking objects setting doesn't stay when you save and reopen the pbix (unless it's been changed recently).

There are external themes you can use for your dashboard as well or you build your own/hybrid theme as per your PowerPoint info. Also, some tools allow you to add dates and more functionality to your tables with dates (Bravo for Power BI). Then you can ad JSON and other programming to adapt your PowerBI dashboard.

Some programs average people never use, may do good thing to the computer. For example, Project demo unlocks the battery’s code, and it can be calibrated for better use. By doing this, the cpu, chipset, vga will enable its performance mode, and will have higher performance. But by changing batteries, will screw up the performance of the laptop.

I have two questions regarding PowerBI that I haven't found the answer to. 1) I have a table with a list of enterprises and some economic data for each enterprise. Is it possible to make the cells in a column clickable? For instance if I click the Enterprise ID it will bring me to another report with data on just that enterprise. 2) Is it possible to make a column with clickable cells where the value changes when you click on it? I want to make a column where I can click on a line to mark it as "checked" or "OK". Basically if I do data validation and don't want to check the same line several times. Once I'm done with it I want to mark it as OK and move on.
