Which is the favorite? That's like asking Hugh Hefner to pick his favorite Playmate. Or "Sofie's" Choice. But because I'm not a drop top fan, in your video, I'll go with the red Hrdtp 72 455 HO, with a stick, and 3.55s, thank you. Would rather a 70 455, that still had compression tho, even tho no round port. My dream GTO? Because I'm older, and would enjoy the ride better, than the "go-fast" ability, give me a maroon heavy 70, with a white interior, hrdtp, 455, but put on a RAIV top end, the 041 cam, back it with an M-22, and a 3.73 12 bolt, and I'll be satisfied. What-da-ya say? Can ya do it? :)

Wrong. Studebaker marketed at least 5 MCs from 1956-64 long before Detroit ever thought of doing so. The 63-64 super Lark R2S and R3'S could literally cream any gto up to AND including the ram airs, circa 69-70+. R3 super Lark 0-60 in 5.5-5.9. top end 150+ MPH. Quarter mile in 12.6 @114 MPH. The picture, which did as it was meant to do which was sucker me in, was of a 1966-1967 GTO body with horizontal headlights (similar to the 1964) instead of vertically stacked headlights as was on the actual car. This was obvious clickbait. The first "muscle car" small body/big engine appeared when Buick took the 1936 Special (smallest Buick) body and stuck the 1936 Roadmaster (biggest) engine in it. They also upgraded the interior to Roadmaster level. They called the resulting car the Century because it would do 100 miles per hour off the showroom floor without modification. That was quite a feat for any car in 1936. The second muscle car using the small body/big engine formula was the 1949 Oldsmobile 88. Olds took the 76 series smaller A body (also used by Chevrolet) and put the overhead valve V8 from the 98 in it. Suddenly the Olds 88 was a factory hotrod that tore up NASCAR tracks. Incidentally, "notoriety" is a negative term indicating the subject was famous for being bad. If you meant to say famous for being good, say "famous." They don't mean the same thing. Infamous also means famous for a negative.

That 1970 GTO Ram Air 4 orbit Orange convertible that sold at Mecum Auction in Kissimmee January 2023 for 1.1 million. I was in the audience and saw it live in person. The starting bid was 500,000. Then went to 600,700,800,000 right away. Then it stayed at 800000 for about a minute and then bid and sold for 1 million. The reason they say 1.1 is because the buyer and the seller both have to pay 10% tax so that added $100,000 to the one million making it 1.1 million. And the owner had eight other Ram air 4 / judges for sale. And I saw all eight of them go through after the orbit orange convertible. Then a little later I saw all nine cars close up in the next building over. It was amazing to be there and see it in person.
