So many homeless people and all these homes sitting empty! Sick!
@hippa2dahoppa2
6 жыл бұрын
the home was seized during a jewel fraud which left the property still owned by the guy until his case was figured out which he eventually got rid of it. someone owns all of this stuff. if you had a extra house that you were going to rent out in 9 months would you pay the electricity gas water heat for bums to live in it and fuck it up more. and nobody wants the homeless in rich areas itll degrade property value. and its easier to owe taxes and not pay. there is tons of abandoned homes around me and bums live in them. we have to call the city to knock them down because the bums are rapists, addicts, and thieves. (and i donate to charity alot and help the homeless so no im not cold hearted). the fact is hommeless are usually mentally challenged or drug addicts or retarded. its safer to rip the homes down if anything. people usually still own the homes and the fucked up city doesnt arrest the or anything for taxes (my neighbor owes 25k in taxes on his abandoned house he bought and ive tried for 2 years to get the city to do something and they just send him fines in which he never pays). there is so many factors and laws to consider. youd think it would be as easy as just let people live inside but its not.

You should read "Empty Mansions" and do a little more research. Hugette Clarks house, Belesguardo is not abandoned While she did not visit there for the 20 years she chose to stay at the hospital, the house was immacuately cared for as well as her home (that she actually never visited) in CT. Belesguardo is now a museum and conservency as was directed by her will. Also, her father did not only rub shoulders with the Vanderbilts and the Rockafellers, he was far richer than any of those families. At that time he owned the most expensive home in NYC. It was on Park Ave, I think and was one of the richest men in the world. Also, he did not make his money by building Las Vegas. He made money by being smarter and more forward thinking than many others of the era. Arriving in CA at the end of the gold rush, he had to find other ways to make money. He found those ways all related to mining copper in the northwest of the US. The land that he owned that is now Las Vegas was not a good mining prospect, so he sold it. That land just happened to become Las Vegas, but not bevause HE created and/or built Las Vegas. Vegas was basically built by mob bosses, namely Bugsy Malone, I think. He, Clark also WAS involved with the railroads as he found that too many stage coaches were being robbed on their way from the mining areas of MT to the Ports in San Diego, so he built the railroad that lead from one place to the other so people and minerals could arrive faster and safer. He was a senator for a short time, argued with the owners of Anaconda mining (a company my father worked for as well) for mining rights in and around MT, specifically Butte, MT and he named the capital of MT......Helena. W.S.Clark was quite a man: creative, a "go-getter" and he was incredibly successful by thinking out of the box and DOING..... All of this he did AFTER he turned 60 years old. He and his life, including his wives and two daughters were fascinating and brilliant people, albiet a bit strange and reclusive. But can you blame them with all that money? At the time that Hugette inherited her father's money, she inherited more money and property than anyone in the world had inherited before her. Belesguardo is a beautiful tribute to Hugett's father's incredibly hard work and creativity to earn money amd Hougett's love for art and the privelege of allowing others to see her cascading mansion with immaculate and beautiful landscaping to the pristine mansion and cars that she left behind to the conservency. Belesguardo is definayely not abandoned and/or run down. At least it wasn't around Mother's day 2017. I would hasten to guess that you are confusing Belesguardo with her CT mansion that was also carefully and immacuately cared for until she passed away and "relatives" came bounding out from the woodwork wanting a piece of the inheritance pie. Her CT mansion was split up and sold. I believe nothing was done with it, but that is at the hands of the new owners, not Hougette. If she took care of anything, it was her two homes and three NYC apartments. Even after she walked into the hospital to have some cancerous leisions removed from her lips and decided to live the rest of her days in that hospital room, her properties were well taken care of....despite her atty and financial advisor stealing from her and giving her bad advice. Belesguardo=Not Abandoned. (note: I may be spelling her name and Belesguardo incorrectly. Its late, I'm using my phone and its a bit harder to look up. But anyone reading this who might be interested in the Clark story, it is quite fascinating. "Empty Mansions" is in libraries and book stores and definately a great buy. ENJOY! )
I hate to break it to you, but those cars looks FAR from "mint condition" :)

They were up until several years ago. The mansions staff were still paid and still maintained the house for over 30 years, including the chauffeur, who also maintained the cars mechanically and made sure they, and the house, was ready for Ms. Clark within a 24 hour notice. After the chauffeur passed away, his wife and children received his salary until Ms. Clark's passing a couple years ago. This info comes from a book called Empty Mansions that was all about the Clark family. Ms. Clark had several estates that were kept in living condition for decades despite her not living there. In one case, she bought a house (not as extravagant as the others, but still a half million I think) and never stepped foot in it. It never had a caretaker so it fell apart. He apartments in New York were maintained and even decorated, which she oversaw through photos brought to her hospital room for approval. Very interesting story.

Eunice Murray wasn't Monroe's maid, she was the landlady. She RENTED the bungalow. Marilyn herself as a product was worth a tremendous amount but her actual assets were very modest. She's probably made millions for companies and men (truly a case of genuine exploitation by men, which no longer happens to this great extent) since her death. "Live fast, die young, and leave a good-looking corpse" still applies. It makes for fame and fortune for the people smart enough to see it.

In her time, Marilyn certainly exploited men and people in general, albeit stemming from a tragic origin. Due to her abusive past, she craved attention and power, and she knew how to use her looks and charisma to get it. Monroe's stardom cannot be accurately summed up as "exploitation by men," because she willfully and knowingly became a sex icon.

oh you mean saddiq, the guy who has stopped the huge price hikes on public transport, fulfilling his transport pledges, and working towards undoing the issues the unions had with old barmy, even getting the night tube running. has stopped londoners having to pay for that dumbass garden bridge. was a calm and reassuring voice to london after the terror attacks, has endlessly lobbied the government on all things affecting london from eu immigration to the crossrail 2, is actually delivering on the london living rent homes and trying to tackle the housing issues that his predeccessor largly ignored while he spent tax payers money on every hare brained plan he came up with, yeah barmy boris was great, now we have boris bikes, and some dumbass orbital structure. oh but we do have a nice chinese backed luxury hotel and huge numbers of empty homes where he pushed selling to foreign investors who just leave the properties to rot in a city where homelessness is rife. oh yes and he did buy some german water cannons which he had to be stopped from deploying as they are illegal in the uk. oh and the two big projects of his, academies and youth rehabilitation both failed magnificently. youth crime actually rose during his years as mayor. so yeah of course lets say that boris was so much better than a hardworking mayor who is actually trying to help the issues affecting londoners because of course above the facts we have to scream him down because of his religion. i do not know where you come from, but this sir is london, it is a large multicultural city, where we will drink tea and calmly carry on regardless of what threats are thrown at us, we are resolute, we will not fall, we will not fear. so go run away be scared of the nasty muslims if you want, up to you.

False thumbnail. That house that they showed was on Holland Island in the Chesapeake Bay. Back in the 90s I actually donated money to save the island. At the time they were putting rip rap around the island to stop the erosion. The hurricane in 2003 was the death knell for the island. The house collapsed several years later. That being said this whole video sucks just because they use this house and it was not in the video. They still could have explained it with many many pictures out there. Anyone that is interested can Google - "The last house on Holland Island" - It is a very interesting story that I feel I played a small part in its history .
