Slovenia is the most under-rated country I have been to in Europe. The food (think Burek), the nature and, the architecture (in Ljubljana) were so amazing! My favorite part was probably the people who were so friendly and curious, and not tired of tourists like so many other touristy small places. I am planning on doing a slower Euro-trip this summer and spend a month each at 3 of my favorite cities in Europe, and I want to spend a month in Ljubljana 😊😊

Travel On Fire žganci are made from buckwheat flour mixed with other flour types, they are boiled in water for 15 min and then crumbled on a plate, I usually add some milk and sugar (or honey) because i like them sweetened. Kranjska klobasa is a sausage and it is the best sausage I’ve ever had.

I went to Slovenia three years ago on a holiday from England and I stayed in Kransja Kagora the ski resort village. It was in the summer months and was really hot. I rented a car as I love to travel independently. For tours, it's worth asking at Ljubljana's tourism office who were very helpful to me www.visitljubljana.com/en/visitors/tours-and-trips/ . Roads are easier to drive than the European average. Travelling is super easy as everyone speaks English. (But it depends what your criteria of hard/easy are.) I couldn't believe how underrated this country is as a travel destination!
