I really enjoyed that and when I have time I'll look for the interpretations which may or may not have been posted 😂 although I started playing 60 years ago, I've only really played for about 5 and 1/2 years and I did have a 51-year break and I'd never played any Blues until recently well, back in the sixes I've played some rhythm and blues; so is this going I play bass and I don't have a great ear for hearing changes in chords and I have damaged hearing from heavy metal concerts but I'm playing quite a lot of Blues at jam sessions BUT They are mainly 12 Bar Blues and I had never heard of an 8 Ball Blues until about a year ago so The various length of a blues 8. 12. 16 etc let's not forget nine ball Blues such as sitting on top of this world, and it seems there are quite a few one bar Blues.. To quote sonny boy Williamson you got to help me or should I say please can you help me

I'm with you. I've played blues for 40 years. Those different styles evolved in different areas, but we are exposed to it all, so it's natural to mix and add new ideas to it. Hendrix and Page brought new things to it, and any player should feel free to do the same. Some like to be faithful to keep the styles separate, and while I can do that, I'd prefer to mix and add.

Nice but your reference of Alvin Lee as west coast blues is incorrect as were many others... Not being critical just pointing out misses and hopefully you will check out some of these - West Coast - Johnny Moore, Oscar Moore, Pee Wee Crayton, Lowell Fulson, Along with some modern day players such as Hollywood Fats, Júnior Watson, Rick Holmstrom , Kid Ramos, Little Charlie, Kid Andersen, and many others That embraced what the originators started. Alvin Lee was a British blues based rock guitarist It really should not be listed.

This is a good vid and your playing is superb but I'm pretty sure Brit blues is more akin to Rock'n'roll than actual blues. While they may have covered blues musicians a lot, I think they had plenty more in common with Chuck Berry and Bill Haley than the artists they paid tribute.

While I appreciate the effort and I certainly cannot play as well as you, I didn't think you caught the style differences very well, particularly the particular sound timbre of some of the musicians would have helped.
