Almost everything that has been commercially grown has glyphosate. 100% of soybeans, 90% of oranges, 85% of almonds, figs, grapefruits, pistachios, wheat, barley, oats, lentils, peas, canola, corn, cotton, and flax. That's just food! Its also frequently detected in the environment, particularly in plants, soil, water, rain water, and also in human urine. One thing we can do is try to buy organic. I know some people can't always afford it. There is a glyphosate free label...check out The Detox Project. The best thing to do is try to get it banned in the US. It is banned in many other countries.

Glyphosate is what they are spraying on grains including oats. it is the same as Roundup. It does make the crops stand up straight so the machines can cut them. It’s hard to get around this one because it includes corn, oats, soybeans and wheat are sprayed with it so it’s in pasta, bread cereal, pizza and so on. What I have noticed they are Discontinuing brands and replacing them with plant based . I am seeing a lot more in the freezer cooler area. They are adding plant based meats in the meat dept. This is what I am seeing in my town in Tennessee, A lot of empty areas, complete shelves empty here and there in every grocery store. There are just too many empty spaces. It is noticeable. This tells me something is going on with our food supply. Cornmeal is very slim in all our stores. A Few things: I used to work for walmart 😄 they need to be put in check by it's customers. 1) help your budget to stretch by often looking over your walmart product labels (like gallon water, milk, etc) and it may literally say "return the package for a replacement or a refund" and provide no strings attached 💰 no guilt, no dishonesty here. Just finish your product 90%ish and bring it back. They're required to just throw it away. 2) take advantage of walmarts superior return policy in food..."if for ANY reason you aren't happy..." it literally doesn't have to be about the item...you could be sad it's raining. So use up the product and bring it back 👍 3) stores ACTUALLY depend on the feedback they get from those surveys. If you feel they done you wrong...find a nearby trash bin near the registers at the walmart you hate most and grab a handful of thrown away receipts, take em home and fill out every survey you can find with bad reviews 😉

I've noticed that there are a lot of the store brand cheapest white bread sold at Wal Mart and Food Lion are slim to none, especially the Food Lion here in Cumberland County, North Carolina for the past month and half. I can't afford the name bread ones due to their high prices. Store brands range from 1.49 to 2.39 but the name brands are all over 3.99 a loaf. I saw one Sara Lee loaf that was over 5.00!

New to your channel and I enjoy the content. I agree with you all about the volume being low in stores at Walmart, Food Lion, and Aldi’s in SC. From the produce, meats, eggs, butter, and bread. What remain on the shelves is over price that no one can afford them. That explains why they’re still on the shelves.

I was at Aldi today and they had bread but was less than usual and eggs were $2.79 a dozen , several out or short in produce area and they didn’t have any of their multi colored shopping bags or cold storage bags only the paper bags !! Also the gadget/ housewares isle was very short on items not a lot to look at I was interested in no cooking dishes or pans like they usually have ! Was at Krogers also there were some items I usually buy that was lower tg sn usual and their bread isle was strung out with gaps!!

I've found it hard to get my bread to rise in the winter when I keep my house at 55 degrees. In the summer, when it rises beautifully, it is often too hot for me to turn on the oven to bake it since I don't use my AC. It is easy to make bread, but so many have lost or never had the knowledge.

@@xo2quilt Cover the dough and put it in your oven with the oven light on. Do not turn the oven on. The heat from the light in the small, confined space should be enough warmth for the bread to rise. As for baking in the summer, I'll get up early and bake. I'll check the weather and plan to bake the morning that is forecasted to be the coolest.
