1. VOIP device options. I use a soundbar for my game audio and my headset for Discord. I would like the ability to route SC's in-game VOIP through my headset separate from the rest of the game audio coming through my soundbar. 2. Beacon Markers need to be fixed. That may be under the umbrella of the map/UI changes, but I would like some vocal confirmation from CIG. Nearly every Rescue beacon marker disappears during the mission and it's a huge PITA to have to boost brake to a halt while under fire to go into the Mobiglass and retrack it. Personal Transport beacon markers are still broken. Once the Citizen enters your ship their marker should update to their requested drop off destination. Instead, it stays on the Citizen the entire time forcing you to either ask or open the damn Mobiglass again to check. 3. Beacon Types. This may fall under "new content" to some but I believe it's facilitating access to content that already exists (although broken at times). We have the Starfarer, we have the SRV. Where are the Fuel and Towing beacons? Players want to engage with one another (despite what Spectrum/Reddit says). They want to provide services to other players. Give them a way to be called.

All good points. For me missions are just as important to improve as the starmap. Make it even more clear to me which are more likely to give me a crime stat. Maybe give missions and mission givers some colors to better differentiate them. It took way too long for me to realize Blacjac security was Arccorp security. This also ties into reputation, I generally like to focus on one thing for a few days, and one of the only ways to progress right now is reputation. So being able to filter missions to only see missions from certain mission givers would be great. The popups you can accept or decline is something I've learned to mostly ignore as a more experienced player, but when playing with a friend new to the game he was constantly distracted and asking about the popups. I think it should be optional to opt into notifications with them default being off to not overwhelm with new players with information. And I personally would opt out of rescue beacon notifications for instance if I had the option.

Could have a little red LED light up on someone's helmet when they're broadcasting, only visible if you are in the same channel. So someone in prox coms will light up whenever they talk, but they can mute prox coms and the light will only appear for team-mates? Party coms should have it appear next to your market. When it works ya know.

The rearm/restock/refuel. If you can't do it in the hanger. You should be able to rearm refuel restock with the ship stored. So if your having problems. At least you can store and get it done (for now)

YESSSS PARTY MARKERS FIX PLEASE. I run air cover for our org and trying to assist team mates with no party markers is a nightmare
I would add general ui color/shading improvements. Right now ui fades into the background at times, or is colored poorly like the esperia ship cockpit ui. The other thing to add would be making the cockpit of a ship better handle very dark and very bright lighting so we can actually see where we are flying. 3rd person is the best way to fly when on the night side anywhere, as well as when we have blinding white snow.

my biggest one goes along with the party markers but it is having Orgs mean something in the game, like having your org mates markers visible even when not in party, maybe org hangars/banks, stuff like that. We have needed it for so long but hopefully this year it can get higher up on the To Do list

Yours is a good list, but 10 items isn't enough. I wish they'd make the UI a bit more usable: being able to see the station/landing zone I'm approaching or leaving without having to ping as a workaround; being able to see the ship's UI elements when the background is bright; user-controlled galaxy/system/planet-wide markers for being able to re-find a specific spot. These should all be reasonable expectations in any space game. There are many other QoL difficulties I come across all the time.

There are 2 that I would love to see implemented. The first one is well lit landing pads, space stations and hangers. What we have are dark pits that are often hard to even find before they had obscuring cloud cover. If you are new good luck knowing where you need to fly. If you look at a modern day airport at night you can easily identify it and landing is clear and concise. And there are no light poles to run into. Second is ground and landing radar. I shouldn’t have to be popping a scan every 2 seconds so I can see where the pitch black ground is. Being able to see where you are flying on the dark sides of planets and moons and having a ground radar so you don’t have to go into a floating 3rd person camera mode. Those are the 2 features I would really love to see worked on this year.

for the icon over player's heads, just do what VRChat does. have it toggleable. this would allow the players who want that uninterrupted immersion to have it, as well as allow the people that want more of an idea of who's who and who's talking to have that as well. this can allow things like player's names over their heads, which is especially helpful when it comes to reporting players for things like spawn camping. perhaps being able to see reputation information, like if they have a CS or not, or other relevant info as more social systems and such are added. though some of that might be better limited to if you have a helmet on or not, like how ammo count is right now.

Made the same request on traversals on Spectrum. Wooooooo boy was that a mistake. Apparently the same four gatekeepers that have kept Spectrum toxic since around 2015 are still present. Anyways, yes - the elevators should just go to all the locations on the station, and an updated station layout wouldn't hurt, either - it would be nice if the interiors matched the exteriors somewhat. Inventory and selling could both be solved by just having check boxes next to items - click all the things you want to sell/move, etc.

In terms of QOL I think there's a slight issue with the CIG mentality. Clearly they've taken the route of using realism to create believability, which in turn (theoretically) creates immersion. This is a sound approach, but the problem is that in SC more often than not, realism is a cudgel to beat the player down with as opposed to elevating the experience. For instance, if SC takes place 900+ years in the future why don't I have the option to tint my ship's windshield when looking directly into the sun? IRL it's early 2024 and tinted windshields have been around for decades already. This isn't at the top of my wish list, but it adequately explains what I'm getting at. All the elevator/tram riding, etc. does create immersion, but when the state of the game still contains so many bugs, it just compounds the tedium, and can be really prohibitive to accomplishing anything in-game.

New module for ship - immobiliser + remote control key. Install immobiliser in ship and assign/program key[(s) for friend(s)]. Key is needed to start ship. With key you can remotely open door, call for lift. If you died on board anyone can start ship engine, (or take key from your body and open ship), or if immobiliser is destroyed/removed can start engine.

One of the reasons I don't visit Orison so much would be the amount of Tram travel involved to do anything and go places. Let me land at each of the main platforms. The selling thing definitely... Inventory stacking...a need. Spacestation elevators that are more flexible...like the hanger to anywhere option...would be excellent. Persistent hangers will need the same flexibility . Running through the same vanilla stations gets old.

In line with repair from soft death - would love to see them vastly increase the soft death ship health. I understand it would be temporary but seems like it will be a while before the new ship hit point system so would to see a quick increase in the values of health for soft death.

One note, you talk about the inventory system being similar to that of Tarkov, and then say something about SC also adding weight, seemingly implying (wrongly) that Tarkov doesn't also have weight management in their inventory system.

Suggestion for VOIP: not an icon over their head, but have their tag shown in a corner when wearing a helmet that receives the radio call. As for proximity, you could have the distance based on Decibel. As for moving ships, I agree and disagree. Fleet management should be a factor. But they could create a mission, where you fly someone's ship to one location to another, or transport it in larger ships; however, I don't think this feature is relevant until we have more systems.

they could implement VOIP player icons through your players helmet HUD. Doesn't break immersion and also lets you see whos talking so long as you are wearing a helmet

All great choices. One of my biggest QoL fixes, and this only started happening in 3.22, is getting a crime stat for killing NPC bounty targets… Maybe it’s just me?

With so many new players joining the verse, being able to mute someone in global would be a nice easy qol feature. Global chat is such a useful tool for newer players in particular it sucks when it's being spammed with toxic shit. I've been trying to help a newer player out while some psycho was going on an hour long political rant and it was incredibly frustrating. Like clearly people like that aren't actually playing the game. They're just using the captive audience in global chat to get the attention they want.

I tried again with new computer after several years away. After several days of dying by computer glitch including the fun clipping out of your ship watching it speed away, I have given up on major quality of life fixes. The other night I couldn't even run around and re-equip as stuff just keep disappearing randomly from body/inventory. Maybe I got unlucky with a dying server several nights in a row? If they can't stop 30ks maybe they should flag the servers for closure when they start majorly failing instead of waiting for slow death.

I 100% agree with the traversal point. I don't drive my car to a metro/subway station to go to the store. I park at the store. This is 930 years in the future. Also, dashboard light dimming has been a thing for the last 40 years at least but not 930 years in the future? Also, Cadillac has night vision in cars TODAY. Not 930 years in the future?

The most important thing for me is the R&R fix. I play solo mostly, missiles are fine as long as there's a viable way to dodge them but the refueling not working . . . it's just the worst thing. I got stuck at the pyro jump point bc my Aurora didn't have enough QT fuel to go back. (I know relogging fixes this but still)

100% Agree VOIP is number one on my list. Games like Squad have really really great VOIP volume controls and SC definitely needs to catch up to being anywhere near the industry standard. They actually have one feature that is where VOIP takes on environmental effects like Echoes in caves which is awesome, they need to do the basics to combine with that cool kind of effect. General Party HUD is atrocious atm. I completely agree that auto-reload is atrocious, as is the game auto-swapping weapons and devices for no reason. And completely agree 'workman's entrances' would be so much good in this game, perhaps to access them you need guild reputation

Double-hot dog makes certain players feel inadequate (reporting for a friend) toy guns are unpredictable in a vacuum, super immersion breaking Pico is too soft, my character falls asleep when he holds it for too long (3-4 hrs)

I think the traversal issue (having to go through 3 elevators each time you wake up at a hab) will be a non-issue once persistence of player position is there. I think the actual problem is the player resetting to the habs every time you log in.

party and group management ... I think group formation should simply be in the chat tabs of your mobiglass you create a channel invite other in... or make that public with PW... then use VOIP to tell someone the channel and pw... and they join... that mechanics could allow to be in multiple group simulataneously, and you could bind keys for each channel of push2talk button/mute mic... on holding the key ... and double-tap to toggle it. set a color to the channel and that color would become the team marker color of all those in that group... so that you could distingtuish who are in which group... that would allow a better "army" management of commandment and coordination... you could establish rank in each channel officer, listen etc... also to have in each ship a page of MFD for the ship "authorisations" that tab would serve as a guild tabs in every MMORPG... each ship should be considered as a guild in a sense... so you could create ranks and grant power and access... to part of the ship... some MFD option access... door access etc... also the ability to set the "crew" so those player would spawn with your ship if they log when you are logged out. the "crew list" should be limited to 2 character/bed excluding yourself. military and stealth ship would have a limit to 4/bed and industrial 3/bed. players wouldn't need to go to bed to log out, their character would persist in the ship as an AI as long as the ship would persist. you could dedicate player's character to some task they would perform as npc... like moving cargo, operating turret, scanner, drone, repaire or engineer or patroling or searching for intruders. so any one not in the list of Guess nor crew couldn't enter the ship... and would be set as hostile when within the perimeter of the ship...

Having (someday) NPCs able to be on ships would allow NPC merchants wandering around the system. I can imagine an NPC owning a Caterpillar or an Hercules and flying around the system and buying and selling stuff. You could simply request boarding the ship and come up to him and sell your stuff. That tech will only be available when CIG completes the NPC tech to board ships I guess and probably Tony Z finishing his tech as well. I bet that's more for 2025 rather than 2024. HAving a Medkit attched to the suit so if u get uncon u can revive like a one time emergence kit, often get hit or fall wile walking over small hills and get uncon, and loose a mission or a package. The char is way to fragile let me uncon for 10 Min as a penalty but then a failsave kicks in and medpack if attched to the suit revives me

How about combining ammo clips that aren’t full. So if I have three that are say 2/30, 3/30, and 10/30 that I could combine into a single clip of 15/30. Maybe the now empty two clips disappear. This would also clean up inventory.

ASOP terminal... I would like to have Claim/Retrieve and Deliver action implemented into the mobiglass aswell... I would even like that to prompt a mission for other players so that other player could bring the ship from one place to the other... you would have to approuve the player before tho.

what would be nice would be to have the ability to re-equip ship with previous inventory on the ASOP terminal like the ship would save all the equipement you bought rifles armors etc... those that are in weapons rack suit locker etc... and food and beverage bought aswell and stocked in the cooler or locker, you could just restock that aswell with an optional insurance claim... that would be extra few tho based on the equipement. and it could also prompt a mission.. like you prompt that restock and it open a mission for other players to fetch all the things and brings those to a service kiosque or wherever it has to be delivered... so you could just log off and others would restock your ship and deliver it to another place while you are offline

The issue is that by the time we get these qol, you can make another needed qol list... and it goes on and on. I dont think cig can get ahead of this resulting in a sentiment they always are behind and that the game 'needs' more to get fun and playable

Opening other ships doors with something more skill based that shooting at them would be great. Use of the cutter maybe or a hacking tool. And more physicallisation would be great. Players should be able to give the item they have in their hands instead of having to place it on the ground. Suit lockers should also work, this does not seem so complex. And they should activate bottle racks in kitchen or food/dink dispenser. They should also permit to store medpens or medgun in first aid boxes. And with the rarity system, they should allow to inusre "common" items with the ships. Everyone loves to have fully equipped ships but never do that because you lose everything when the ship is destroyed. And this would stop people going everywhere in undersuits.

IMO stations need more sections with magic elevators, not less. But those elevators should be 1-to-1 automatic (basically portals functionally) so they are less fidely. And yes, each section should have its own hangar hub (or even multiple) so the direction you ship is in is the direction you should go to reach it. And so we have a connection between external and internal topology. Making the hangar elevator go everywhere will destroy the internal topology of stations completely and will make them feel even more confusing and repetitive. If you go that route you may just go Elite route and have everything done from the landing pad.

They REALLY REALLY NEED to fix the bug that freezes your account when you hand yourself in for crimestats at terminals or remove the option to hand yourself in until they fix it. Myself and many others have had their accounts frozen by this bug that has no fix other than to purchase a new account. Unless of course they are not fixing it on purpose to generate more income; but that would be very cynical of me to suggest.

Other than the ancient starmap...i know i know its "on the way" I'd like to be able to quantum travel straight from station to plant directly. Why do I need to double jump it kills time and is a pain doing mining runs.

What do you mean double jump? You can jump without using the map, and if a designated route suggests an OM-x it means that the celestial body is in the way😂 good news tho, quantum boosting is coming (hopefully soon) it’s a free-form type of quantum travel

Inventory improvements! Yes! It shouldn't take me 5 minutes to re-equip my character for a bunker mission because I have to put on armor, consult my ammo count, go to my guns and find out if I even have that gun, equip it, then go back and equip ammo. Far too cumbersome.

voip for me is a QOL for sure, but its bottom tier for me. I can type to communicate, I have plenty of 3rd party options, it should be improved but there's a large list of things that should be worked on first that impact gameplay in huge ways like party mechanics just not working. Sort button stacking everything together automatically + 10000000 points.

I agree with most of this -- but huge no on the reload interruptions. That's way too close to CoD/Battlefield/Fortnite, which is way too arcadey. Unless they do it realistically where you aren't just snapping out of the reload animation, but it actually looks and feels appropriate to stopping a reload midway. I like that Star Citizen's gunplay feels grounded and weighty, and that characters react and interact appropriately. It makes you think more about what you're doing and why, as opposed to just running at 200km/h and carelessly shooting and doing 360 no-scopes without a care in the world.

Transferring a ship to your location should be done like they did it in Elite Dangerous. Charge a fee for the delivery service based on size of ship and distance. You should not have to claim the ship from insurance and then lose the cargo or items on the ship.

No landing/proximity telemetry so you can actually fly by Instrument which is an absolute necessity for bigger ships? Especially with bigger multicrew ships on the horizon? My guy. This with Night Vision are the real game changers.

Asop terminal definitely need an overhaul so that you can see more ships in it and yes, filters for those who aren't at the station, destroyed or, ordered alphabetically, by size class, by role etc... Also, I wonder where the tracker has gone, it never really worked, I assumed that feature on the asop would be activated when server meshing would be fully implemented so you could track your ship, but now the feature itself is gone. And , this might be a bit nitpicky, as a ship is in your hangar, they used to have a nicer icon with an arrow pointing down, for some reason they removed that and added an icon that is similar to claim. I wonder why ? Let's hope that all of this, like markers dropping out and so on... will be fixed in the UI / map / scanning overhaul.

I would prefere to have the tarkov inventory and I think they will make it that way... but they removed it with the local ship inventory... but now that we can buy cargo boxes... and with the persistency eventually the local ship inventory with be discarded and everything gonna be physicalized or inside a tarkov like inventory.... so if you go a boxes of 16scu... it gonna be normal that similare item don't stack.... as you are litterally looking into a such a huge pile of stuff... use 1 scu box to store you stuff and it gonna be simpler I would like to be able to write on boxes and apply tags aswell... and paint them to change colors...

For me it is stable missions. Out of 20 missions at least 10 could not be complete for bugs directly related to the mission and 4 from the game itself killing me before a could make it to the mission.

For CIG's talk about having the ability to start from where you left off could be a form of cheating? Isn't this a given for most games?, picking up where you left off?(And that should include when you are in the middle of a mission) Also, I would like to have time to stick/medgun myself before the game puts me into an unconscious state for 1 hour w my rescuer 19, 577, 366 miles away?! Anyone else being told you have to land your Aurora or Nomad in order to log out?

VOIP + group system and the desync are the top priority imo. If we can enjoy the game with our friends the game is 42 times better

Yep, traversal sucks. Too much time burned in elevators and trams for me. I think it would be cool if your high rep allowed you to land at providence platform, for instance. Use rep to unlock “fast travel” landing spots.

overall you want SC to become exactly what it initially tried to avoid - another classic mmo with player icons, global map player markers, player leveling and perks progression, instant travel, unrealistic fps, unlimited inventory e.t.c.

A better interface for keybinding multiple controllers is near the top of my list. I am so tired of rebinding everything just because one controller has changed since the last time I launched the game.

Maybe if they worked on the content more than the paid for extras they keep adding. They still have career paths you can't really persue.

reload animation should vary... if you are immobile it would be the faster... if you are walking it would increase the duration of the animation... and the faster you run the slower the animation would be... tho the animation would be based on your walking/running speed... sot on the movement of the character... so if you are drifting/falling... it would be as if you are immobile... thus if you jump and manage to do the reload animation before touching ground... it would be made as if you were immobile (100% speed) but hitting ground would cause impact and extend/interrupt the animation you know as in real life...

Since the game already "projects" an icon above any party member, having an "this person is speaking" icon over player's head wouldn't be really immersion breaking.

I would like to have the ability to turn OFF my headlamp when I am seated in my ship's cockpit. I would also appreciate the ability to interrupt animations, such as get into my cockpit seat or climbing a ladder if I "misclick".

Optimize wide screen resolutions, the inventory and chat are borked and barely useable - but it's the nav that's worse, the markers are HUGE and overlap, meaning if you go to QT you can get stuck in a perpetual loop of it trying to sync to one, then swapping to another - repeat.... Coupled with the crap map for nav, it makes the game unplayable (three years with this and counting)

None of those reasons are the reason I finally quit playing. I needed to stock my carrack with two ground units a C8R and guns, beams in the weapon racks and back up armor for my crew. The game crashed while I was in the hanger moving stuff into it THREE TIMES IN A ROW! Losing all the gear because I had to CLAIM the carrack! Sure losing all that stuff was expensive but no worries on that I HAVE TO GO BUY ALL THAT CRAP OVER AGAIN. I’m just done

I should be able to sell any item and any store of the same type. I.e. sell a gun to a gun store. It should not matter if they sell that gun there or not. I'm tired of having a special gun that no one will buy unless I take it to the only store in the entire game that sells that gun!
