Absolutely. Usually it will be due to lack of satisfaction and closure on the matter. Many people fail to forgive themselves for past failings, but it's vital to so you can move on and grow. It's a point I made in my first ever video, you have to accept yourself and love yourself

I can't really cite an example since I mainly have knowledge about the fact that there are occasionally psychological phenomena that are not purely linked to the brain, but correspond directly to changes of the body, and don't even exactly know which circumstances you impose. Otherwise, I could simply tell you about the involvement of perceptional organs in perception. In fact, I wrote this comment to correct the common misconception that everything we "are" is our brain - there is significant indication, but not more than that, that "we" are not only a brain with a physical shell, which is 100% disconnected from our consciousness, but are actually definied by our brain and a very, very small influence due to other parts of our body that influence our conscious existance. At least that's what I was referring to. I possibly missed your point though.

I hate when I have Déjà Senti. Sometimes I'm working on important for me animation project (let's say an animation music video) I choose a song and I listened to it for few times. I got the best idea I've ever had and-... when I want to write it down it's almost gone.. like there is always some of the parts left but when the other are missing I can just put them in wrong order or have to fill the empty space with other less satisfying ideas. Sometimes I have to start all over again and then I just feel so burned out that I'm never finishing these..

Not quite the same thing, but I dreamed of the most incredible scene/image one night. Were talking steam/cyberpunk hybrid airships battling ____ in the clouds and some enormous sky fortress crashing to the earth below in dazzling flashes of light and fire. And there were all these ____ that looked kind of like _____ weaving in and out of these cybersteam ships and _____ and the landscape looked like _____ it was just this breathtaking moment of action that I couldn't give more detail on if my life depended on it. And another time I feel I dreamed an entire feature length film with a really intricate, clever and satisfying plot. It was just a really interesting story with all these fictional but believable characters. I remember only one scene of being in a sort of pirate Cove, in a small wooden boat, rowing underneath this massive hollow rock pyramid that was eerily lit by an unseen light. I remember us quietly rowing into this thing and thinking "this is going to make the best story when I wake up and write it down" and I even remember feeling like celebrating because I was so sure I'd just been shown the next Game of Thrones in my dreams. Then I woke up and couldn't remember anything aside from that scene I just described. Devastating.

Prosopagnosia is not being able to recognize familiar faces, objects not being included while Visual Agnosia is far more complicated and the person can't recognize neither faces of familiars, objects, animals, everything. I have prosopagnosia and I was apparently born with it. I can't recognize people, in fact, I've walked past family members if I haven't seen them for a long time. When somebody says, "Hi, how are you?" I end up most the time ready to say, "Hi, WHO are you?" It's embarrassing, and I'm sure plenty of people have dismissed me as a snob, but who goes around saying hello to strangers? Some weird things go along with it, like having virtually no sense of direction and getting lost in familiar places. I keep hearing on the news about face-recognition software; I wish someone would put some on a chip that could be implanted into my brain.

I'm fortunate now that I have my own office because meeting students at a coffee shop or library was nearly impossible as I could never recognize them when I saw them again. I have experienced deja visite at least one time. On Maundy Thursdays, it is tradition that people visit up to seven churches and/or holy shrines to pray the Stations of the Cross; this is called Visita Iglesia. One of the churches my family went to for the first time was several towns away from ours. I looked at the facade and the parking lot and strongly felt like I had been there before. When I told my family this, they were amused and claimed it's deja vu for me as we don't normally go to that town and neither does my school. Perhaps I had been there in a past life?

It happens often to me to not recognize people. The simplest explication is that they didn't make any impact on me even if I talked to them for hours ... probably I did talk to them for courtesy while they were actually interested in me. You see, as Italian I get asked a lot of questions about Italy, none which I am interested in talking about. Some people are genuinely interested in other people's culture, forgetting that, after all they are people like everyone else and NOBODY likes to be stereotypes as a unique mindset.

Okay, so about #2... Sometimes I have "dreams" that are usually between 10 and 30 seconds long. While it's happening in my sleep, I can kind of acknowledge that I'm asleep, and it's a dream, but I don't realize I'm going to see it later in real life. So anywhere between a couple days and a few weeks later, I see those same moments that I saw in my sleep. I know it's not Deja Vu, because I don't FEEL like it's _happened_ , I KNOW for a fact I've seen it and heard it, specifically in my sleep/dream. It's been happening for 4 years now, and the first time it happened I was sitting in math class. So that would be Deja Vecu, right?

Those dreams were premonitions

LittleLulubee Oh, okay. I did forget to mention that I don't _consciously_ realize it was in a dream and that I saw it until it's about to happen. Is that still a premonition?

If you predict something in advance, and then it happens, that's a premonition (whether you predict it awake or asleep). Also wanted to add, if you know you're dreaming while dreaming, that's called lucid dreaming.

I experienced capgras delusion when a medication made my hallucinate and gave me hives for a week. I told my family my dog looked smaller than he should (maybe the Alice in Wonderland thing too?) and I felt like he had been replaced by a lookalike.

Do you ever know what’s going to happen a minute in the future and you try to stop it from happening but it happens anyway?
