My uncle is an electrical engineer and always told me that lithium Ion batteries are best kept between 80-20%. You should only charge fully to 100% if you know that you'll need it.

As a mountain biker myself, it is very annoying to see dirt bike/Surron ruts on the trails... BUT, it is also cool asf to see people sending huge things. And most of the people in my area do help Re-Build trails that have been rutted out by Surrons. As long as your fixing what you broke I'm al for it.

I don't think knobby tires should be on the trails as they're the ones tearing things up. The trials tires don't really leave ruts. Just gotta respect the trails and not mess things up lol

Used to be a very nice jump spot near my house, now it’s almost unridable because of ruts made by the Surron riders. The problem is that they never repaired what they broke. And one time I was riding and they sprayed dirt on me just blatantly on purpose. So disrespectful

There’s a mountain bike trail near my house at a rural county park and I never ride it when it’s super wet so I don’t tear up the trail but I’ve also never seen anyone else use it it’s not a super sophisticated trail but it’s got a couple big jumps in it I just try to have fun without causing damage

The most scariest thing is the thought and sight of being in a full body cast because of a horrible incident. 🤦♂️ Not being able to stand up to go to the bathroom they’ll have to bypass your bowels into a bag and then the process of readjusting to use the bathroom normally. Being on constant pain meds and the addiction after recovery when they cancel your scripts. The muscle atrophy and loss of bone density from the body being stagnant. Not being strong enough to stand and walk in your own after the beginning stages of removing the casts.. the rehabilitation process will take almost a year of therapy.., in addition what job will you even be able to hold afterwards and forget about riding another bike. If you had a girlfriend, she will be long gone after a few weeks. If you live alone, you probably lost your place and everything in it unless you have close friends and family. No sex for indefinitely.. I pray none of this ever happens to anyone who was trying their best to be careful. I’ve lost a few family members to bike deaths and I’ve lost many friends to bike deaths. A cousin was lucky to live, but his bike accident happened at 15yrs old so he never got to live a full life due top being paralyzed and when I was maybe 5 yrs old, I remember seeing him in a full body cast on a bed with strings and cables living with grandma and all I can remember is cries of agony and discomfort for months on end. I just got a surron light bee.., I’ve always been a really great bike rider, freestyle, bmx and mountain biking so going to a surron “should” graduate me a favorable start. It may not be heavy and fast enough for anything fatal, but if in traffic, you don’t even NEED to be on any kind of bike for a fatal accident so I pray that God keeps me safe and that I don’t do anything stupid or cocky. Ride safe everyone!!!!!🫵

That bike on fire was due to overheating not due to 0 charge, he had just unplugged it and started ridding. Those bikes are just notorious for overheating and that’s what happens less than 3 miles down his road and that caused it to set fire. I watched the video.

storing your battery at 100% is not at bad as storing it at 0%. mostly because batteries have much more resistance / heat generation when at low charge. But both are still not good.

30-80 is a good percentage to store. Dont be afraid to charge to 100%, though, 90-100 on my bike is 3-4 miles. That dont sound a lot, but that 3-4 miles can sometimes get me where i need to be for a ride out meet-up. @lijahyouheard

You serve my friend don't understand how lithium ion batteries work. Charging your lithium ion battery up to 100% or draining it down to zero is going to do no more damage than if you started to only let it drop down to 20% and charging it only to 80%. That's a common misconception that a lot of Nontech people have about lithium batteries. I just watched further into this part, but you're not going to break down the science of why would you state it is true? Because there is no science to back up your claim. It actually suggests the exact opposite of what you're saying. But just because you never let your battery hit zero. or 90 or go over 90% does not mean that you somehow allude your battery sales lifespan. Now charging your battery higher. amps, is what is going to kill your battery. And that's the only thing that. kills your battery. and a lot of people think that cold kills your battery, but that's only somewhat true. It basically stops the chemical reactions from the ions being able. to complete. So your battery sensor tells you that it's that it's running lower arm charge because it can't see. how much milliamps is in there because it needs higher temperatures to do its reaction. In other words, you can go riding have your battery drop down to complete zero while you're outside in the cold weather. and then come inside. Look at your battery and see that all of a sudden you have 80% battery remaining. That's why your battery acts like that in cool. clients.
