I like to watch videos of visitors who live in the Czech Republic. Because I've lived here since I was born, I take a lot of things for granted. These videos give me the opportunity to look at the Czech Republic from a different angle, and usually remind me of how beautiful, amazing the country we have. I think that the Czech Republic is really the heart of Europe.

I think you have missed two important points but I understand they are quite dark. First is the general feel of being in a safe environment and that does not mean just that there is less guns here than in USA but also that your life is not constantly being threatened by being crushed by medical bills, credit issues, being sued. Second is that you don't have to filter yourself so much. A lot of us love dark humor and people are generally less being offended and even if you offend them it's not a big deal.
@CzechingWithKatrina

Your second point is one of my husband's favorite things about his home country, Czechia. He's always complaining about how Americans are so sensitive and you can't talk or joke about anything. It got 1000 times worse after 2020 and "Cancel Culture".

@@CzechingWithKatrina but it will get better soon becasu people are fed up with that, it will take time but that's why Louis CK or Bill Burr are so popular. But it will take time and it's a time america doesn't have because it has a zillion socio-economical issues.

Well, I didn't forget original budweiser, I did include it in my video "10 surprising facts about Czechia" and my video "10 facts about České Budějovice", but it's not in this video because I'm not a beer drinker so it's not one of the 10 things I love about living in Czechia. :D I'm a wine drinker and the wine is included in my video "5 things I hate about living in Czechia." :D

@@CzechingWithKatrina Well, I wish you good luck , over the time it gets better, and you will periodically come back to USA visit family. About the vine, I am from Morava, and people go to winery, taste the wine and buy in bulk for home use, only the one they like. My father usually got 10 litters jug with wine. I can't comment to quality, because I don't drink alcohol ..., sorry about that. Also Slovakia and Hungry has a lot of wineries.

And still, I would add also that the Czechs dress very nicely. It was not like that before, but it can be seen that they have a proper material condition, and their clothes are beautiful and of good quality. Although I have Czech origins (for which I am proud, "strasne pysny mohl bych rici "), I am objective for what I say, because I am not from Czech republic so, I am not living there. Greetings from Romania, where there are an important Czecho-Slovak minority!

@@CzechingWithKatrina Yes, indeed, I wrote above that the Czechs did not always have a taste for beautiful clothes. Now, lately, since they have a higher standard of living, they have learned to choose their clothes carefully. But the older generations, already formed, are not very concerned with clothing and fashion.
