I'm guessing #5 specifically references Rondo. I've bought stuff from them and referred friends who have bought stuff from them A couple of years ago, I asked one time for a photo of the top on a guitar of theirs that I wanted to buy. I was met with the "we don't do that" response. I said, I have money, in my hand ready to pay you for a guitar, all I want is to pick which one that I get so I don't have to send it back. I was met with "don't bother me" type attitude and I have bought nothing from them since. I purchased a Diamond Hailfire after that. Great experience. Customer service matters. I really like what you do and your "every man" approach. I do not tune into your channel to judge what an awesome guitar player you are or are not. Your personality is what makes your channel great. Keep doing what you do with what you like and are into. Chances are, the rest of us are into that too. Can't wait to see your video on Hunter's sig guit-fiddle. Very happy for him that he got that. I also appreciate that you don't bring in politics into your videos. I don't care if we agree politically or not if we both love guitars and gear. I always say, focus on the things that we have in common, not the stuff that we don't. Looking forward to the wonderful adventures of Nick and his guitar horde going forward! God bless and rock on brother.

I'm extremely happy to have you back Nick! I remember subscribing to your channel back when you were just starting... you would maybe 100 or 200 subs back then.... you were actually the one that I took as an example to start putting out my own videos and be part of the fun.... that took me a loooooong time cause unfortunately I had life issues but that is out of the way now. Honestly man, I am so glad to see you back up and running, healthy and all that kind of stuff. Looking forward for some more videos God bless

What I like about you is your curiosity, your honesty, your friendly casual approach about things and you actually know a lot of stuff about pickups, amps, guitars, setups and gear. Also I should point out you are genuinely a really nice guy. I also think as far as your playing you've improved since I follow you .. A lot of folks think they have to be flashy to demo a guitar but I disagree. One simply needs to play varied simple things. However very well.. In other words, it doesn't have to be complicated, but the timing and fluidity has to be spot on.. John Forgety is not a flashy player but whatever he recorded, was really well done and it sounds as cool as it gets..

Nick, I have bought a number of guitars after watching some of your videos while I was cruising for info (Thomann). Like your reviews. One criticism of this video, the sound quality is too ambient of the room. Perhaps level just a little too high or reflection of sound. I did not notice this in previous reviews. Keep plugging, I noticed you are playing better, but your content is what made me subscribe. Missed your vids for awhile. Glad see you back.

Hey Dann! I use a Sony AX53 for my latest videos. I also have a Canon T5 that I use from time to time. The Sony is just easy and has a very clear video image. Hi- Yes, affordable gear brought me in. I prefer affordable gear- not "beginner" gear, and not "knock off" gear- just stuff that does exactly what I want it to do, at the lowest price in that category. Sometimes, that means a 200 dollar guitar, and sometimes that means a 400 dollar pedal- just the lowest price that fits the need. But- what kept me around is sincerity. There are loads of youtube channels, and even more social media outlets, and yet more online sources of info- but you seem like a genuine person, so even if I disagree with your opinion, and I have, from time to time, I still stay tuned, because you come across more like someone I know, and would hang out with than some salesman who just wants surface level agreement. So, thanks, dude.

Excellent video. Informative and on point. Glad you are back and posting. My obsession is Peavey USA guitars. Have about 20 (lose count sometimes!) and few Epis and Slicks. Had to call it a day and be happy with what I have. Also picked up about ten vintage amps--again, had to stop. So now what? Pedals, of course!!
@NickintheStates
4 жыл бұрын
Pedals are awesome and deadly because they're so cheap to ship... so it makes it easy to rationalize buying and selling them. BTW USA Peavey's are great! I had two over the years that somehow wandered out of the collection. They have some gems there and the market really doesn't respect them... although prices seem to have risen a bit in recent years.
@texanfournow
4 жыл бұрын
@@NickintheStates Thanks. Yep, prices on Peaveys are finally creeping up. I bought several T-15s for $100-150, sold them, and now I can't find one for less than $400. And T-60s in nice condition are pushing $800-1,000. That will quash my habit very quickly! Now, about those pedals...:)

Mate I must admit I too like buying cheap guitars and fixing them up. It's so much easier these days with prices being as low as they are. And if you know where to get cheap parts to upgrade - that's the enabler. And hey, if people unsubscribe because they can't take a joke that's on them. Just keep doing what you're doing Nick.

Hi Nick, great insights. I think the reason the Meastro video was a huge success is because it's by Gibson. Even says it on the guitar and you get the Gibson headstock. Something you, usually, don't get on Epiphones. Also, the price. $79.00. Something everyone can afford. Case closed. Maybe Gibson should pay attention. Yes, I've banged that drum enough. Regarding politics. Let's just say that some guys thrive on it and some don't. That means knowing your market. Right? There are two very big content providers who are huge and flip people off all the time. Swear up a storm and dive right into politics. I love both of their channels, but, it's what I expect and it's their strong suite. They thrive on controversy. It works for them. It doesn't work for you. Which I really appreciate about your channel. Thanks for the great video. You are awesome. Hope all is well. Have a great day.

It's an offensive word that was used,and still is in some cases,against some mentally and physically handicapped people who have uncontrollable or spastic movements due to an illness or condition that effects their life considerably. I don't get how you review guitars when you can't play? I don't mean this to sound offensive; but if you can't play guitar no better than a beginner how can you judge the tone of the guitar or playability? The guitar will always sound rough in the hands of a beginner.
