I DIY’d the boutonnières and corsages for my groom, ushers, readers, etc. They were made from sprays of crystals from the craft store, put together with florist tape and decorated with ribbons. Very inexpensive, and no flowers in them, so I could do them months in advance. They looked awesome, and I’ve never seen anything like that at anyone else’s wedding. (I also did my own hair and makeup, but I am a cosmetologist anyway, so not sure if that counts as a layperson DIY.)😊

Any tips if you dont have the budget for a DJ 😬 working on a good playlist a year in advance!

Hey Nicole. It really does depend on your guests. If you want to get people up and dancing then you need to ensure you have a good sound system & lighting. People won't dance with the main room lights up! Sometimes the above costs nearly as much as a DJ so I would make sure you have looked at all options first. If you do your own playlist just make sure you think about all of your guests and give a good mix of genres to suit all. This way no one will feel excluded. Hope this helps!
