Many people who say it with a z aren't really incorrect, it the correct pronunciation they grew up. I'm an expat in Saudi, before I came here I wasn't sure what it would be like, I was concerned that it would be strict and humourless. I have lived in Riyadh and currently I am in Jubail but have also visited Hail and Hateefah, In the 6 months since I arrived, I have met some incredible people, my Arabic is improving very slowly, and the people are very warm, very friendly (a high percentage are under 30 years of age), they have a very well developed sense of humour, and most are very well educated. I think for a long time Saudi has been very shy and reserved on the world stage, and is now emerging and the world will be amazed at the richness of the culture, the importance of family, being respectful and how amazing the people are. The kingdom is so different from the way it is reported in a lot of the western media. I feel incredibly fortunate to have visited and enjoyed the hospitality. Even during the Covid pandemic, I have felt safe and I would recommend you visit if you get the chance. So ignore the negative press, it is a rich country in every sense of the word.

Another tip for tourists is don't call it a day when the sun sets. A thing that many people don't know is the night life in major cities is amazing and a lot of people go out and have fun at night because of the hot weather in SA. All the shops, restaurants, and malls open until the midnight and as a local saudi I prefer going at night because of the weather and because There's just one prayer time unlike the daylight.

All Europeans have come together and have made a powerful Union without saying "oh, you're a catholic, you're a protestant, you're a French or you're a German", but we muslims are still fighting over our minor differences. @translationfruits4426
4 жыл бұрын
I think because of the different beliefs between the two religions, Christian's going to Makkah wouldn't really be of any benefit to them. Muslims go there to do as many acts of worship as possible because it is a very very blessed city. Although Christians and other non-Muslim people are welcome in all other parts of Saudi Arabia, having Makkah inaccessible to them shouldn't be too big a deal. It's not a fun place to tour, there's alot of crowds, continuous movement and so many people actively engaged with their hearts, bodies and souls in their worship. It might only be enjoyable to Muslims because of their knowledge of how blessed the city is. Hope this helps soften any hard feelings❤

personally, as a muslim, i don’t think the vatican would be a really cool place to go. i would not feel any love or spiritual connection because if i wants to do that i’d go to mecca. i would rather have devout christians go to their holy sites without someone who isn’t christian taking up space. this feeling should be reciprocated with christians toward entering mecca.

In both of them there are different roads and streets if you have to go to Makkah and medinah for other stuff like business, these roads lead you to another ways away from our holy mosques. I hope you to respect that 🙏, and if you want to see the Islamic culture you can visit other mosques around saudi apart from the two holy mosques situated in Makkah and medinah and you can find them out in the internet. I want to ask you some questions, as you're a Saudi, is there any punishment for women that aren't wearing burqa or niqab? Why not Saudi men wear something that fully cover their face like Saudi women do?
@aza8109
3 жыл бұрын
@@ardi08 saudi Muslims here, no, women don't get any punishment for that. It's a cultural thing and must women just choose to wear them because they feel comfortable with it. there are literally no rules about women having to wear burqa (not even islam asks for burqa) and I've seen plenty of Saudi women with their hair exposed. Hell, some of them even wear jeans and the abaia isn't even worn fully lol.

dear yonatan there is few things must to be clear : 1- our islamic education and arabic education always focusing on good treating and morals and thats why we the muslims and saudi (as a saudi) we are respecting other people religons even jewish. 2- BUTTTT there is difference between REAL ISLAM who orders to treat all humanity with morals as that count as a part of it , and ISIS( who we hate) whos killing people muslims and nonmuslims people based on their following the strict opinions or people religon , LIKEWISE we do respect REAL JEWISH religon whos order to treat people with respect and morals AND WE HATE ON OTHER HAND the ZIONISTY (like isreal government and army) that kills innocent people (JUST LIKE ISIS). 3- we the islamic communities and arabian culture are really kind and welcomming to all people BUTTT we also STANTS FOR THE RIGHT THINGS ( as we will not welcome any killer, abuser, or doing things irrespectfull AS ISIS OR ISRAEALY GOVERNMENT OR ARMY or the people whos defending those killers even if just by talking ) BUTTT again we are really kind community and u can see that by all the youtube vids about forigners to visite SA. have a good day
