The word Syria comes from the word ASSYRIA. The ASSYRIANS were the cofounders of the world's first civilization. They were also the first converts to Christianity. Today there are 5 million Christian ASSYRIANS in the world. They still speak ARAMAIC, the oldest surviving language in the world.Iraq and Syria make up most of ancient ASSYRIA.

I ask anyone’s who’s Syrian to please answer. What’s the perception of America over in your country. Bc my perception of America as an American in my Country is that my country doesn’t stop terrorist. We are the terror and we harbor and manufacture the terrorism. 80 percent civilian casualties in the Middle East you can’t make this genocide up. Maybe it’s just the time I grew up in and I’d feel the most bad for black people during the civil rights era or for woman during suffrage. Or id feel the most bad for Japanese people during FDRs interment camps. But I’m not even middle Eastern and I have this deep seeded sadness for what my country has done to not only your country but the Middle East abroad. I’m always so happy everytime the Middle East wins and they get closer to peace. I’m always in their corner routing for them. Bc they were just as civil as America and just as modernized in the 50s and we took everything from them.

Hi, I'm syrian. In syria we think of the USA as a great country economically but a not so good country in morals, ethics and manners (as you can probably tell by the insanity they post on social media) I don't mean to be rude, but I don't like the way the USA portrays my country and my religion. They think we are the terrorists with no morals even though Islam is all about peace, brotherhood and morals. It's obviously a sin to kill in Islam, it's a sin to lie, drink alcohol or eat any animal that was killed brutally, so how can anyone say we don't have morals? And as for governmental oppression on women's rights, wearing a headscarf is not forced and women are respected and treated as equals and I hate seeing people spread misinformation about my religion or country when they don't know what they're talking about. Other than that, I'd say that we respect all nationalities and religions because it is the governments of their country's who are at fault, not the people, same goes for syria.
