As an Icelander I can vouch for all of these tips, they are all very good.

Hi Jan, another thing I want to compliment you on is your excellent English 💯. You have an amazing stock of good idioms which you use like a native, which for a Czech in Iceland is a real achievement.

Thanks buddy that means a lot! Still a ton to improve on, especially my eastern European accent but the fact that 90% of my daily life is in English definitely helps a lot. The real challenge now is to start learning and improving on my Icelandic haha

@@janiniceland Your accent is charming, no problem! Use the articles "the" and "a" more often (a typical eastern European trait), but that is only a slight correction at a very high level. 👍👍👍

Great tips! Are those the same as the midges in Scotland? They are the vilest insects on planet earth. but in Scotland they only come out around sunrise and sunset. Hm. No sunset in Iceland in summer. Hm.

thanks! I'm not sure, but from my experience - i've never been bitten by them. some people say they do bite though, and i've even seen photos of people with bite marks all over them. could be more species here

@@janiniceland yeah they bite, they gave me a lovely bracelet of bites on my right wrist. 7 bites around my wrist, 3 more on the same arm and 4 more in different places 😅

Is there a camera store where photo equipment can be rented? Flying from South America has many flights with restrictions on luggage weight and sizes.

Hi! I'm honestly not sure, maybe store ,,Beco'', you can text them and ask. But im guessing if there's something itm ight end up being more expensive than paying for more luggage.
