If cereal or crackers taste a little stale you can pop them in a 300 degree oven for a few minutes to dry them out. It’s the absorbed moisture that causes foods to go stale so removing that freshens them up.

Even the Energizer Alkaline Batteries are better and rarely leek. NO NOT leave batteries in your Flashlight or radio, except for your regular use/emergency grab flashlight. And preferably use Lithium Batteries in those. So, if two years from now, you grab you light to check out something that goes Bump in the Night, it's going to work. Before I retired from Law Enforcement, I ALWAYS use lights that used CR123 Batteries, and bought the "Surefire" brand, or Duracell or Energizer CR123's. The cook top of some of the propane stoves can be used during an power outage. The stove will need to be lit with a match. Check your health insurance for the OTC benefit.

I cooked pork loin borrowing ideas from your cookbook.🤔 I often change up recipes that aren't exacting like baking is. I thought I had a large pork loin I could slice into chops, but it was two skinny ones, so I cut each into 3 parts and flattened them a little. I put a puddle of balsamic vinegar and a little Worcestershire sauce in the bottom of a baking dish and just enough water to spread it out completely. Added salt & pepper and placed the meat. I brushed the tops generously with a mayo-apple jelly-basil spread I had made for sandwiches. Then I baked it at 350 °f for 1 hour. After that, I covered with foil in the oven until we were ready. It was tender and moist and flavorful without falling apart. How was this from your recipe? I guess I was inspired by the Sweet Pork Chops recipe on pagr 256.😅

Thank you for video! ❤️ Garden and flowers are beautiful! I Only store Duracell batteries. Just opinion for maximum views: Thumb nail should be similar to other stockpile videos with black box and large lettering.

What are we preparing for? Hurricane season ends in November. We are not Mormon so we don’t buy tents and have huge food pantries. I’m barely able to live on my SS because of the high prices now. I lived much better four years ago. Go in peace and without fear because the Lord has reached down his hand and saved the one person that can save us.

I've been living on Social Security since May of 2020 still putting 20% of that into savings every month. Not living my life much different than I did 4 years ago

@@debbieframpton3857 I’m happy that you ave been comfortable and the explosive high prices of food, fuel, housing, insurance and energy have not caused you any anxiety. Unfortunately for the vast majority of my friends, family and neighbors we have been greatly impacted. The price of chicken went from $1.59 a pound for chicken breasts to $3.98 a pound. Every thing you put in your cart is a five dollar item. A 2 lb bag of jasmine rice is $3.49 at Walmart. The line at our local food bank has doubled. Let’s not discuss anything else,it’s just too depressing.

@@winddrinkerarabiansMaybe they can try another part of the chicken? I bought a 10 pound bag of leg quarters last week for 0.69 cents a pound.

At some point years ago I got a little 2 burner camp stove that uses small propane cylinders. Very handy when we get hurricane related power outages in NC. We also have propane stove and wood stove in shop as alternative cooking when electricity out for a few weeks. Just no oven then.
