Well, let's put things in perspective. If a company you worked for a) took you for granted and never gave you the respect you thought you deserved, b) publicly humiliated you on a national scale in front of several thousand people who you are a hero to, much to the benefit of a co-worker you share a mutual hate with, and c) is effectively responsible for the death of your younger brother, I mean, what would you consider an appropriate amount of time to be mad about that?
@juansanchez209
8 жыл бұрын
Realistically speaking, I would probably be mad for about 15 to 20 years max. I think Bret is finally at a point where he should just take a couple of deep breaths and forgive and forget. The man beat cancer! If anything, that experience should have taught Bret that life is too short and precious to spend it angry and bitter.
@briandennis3679
8 жыл бұрын
Okay, 15-20 years, but starting when? Montreal Screwjob was in 1997, and Owen died in 1999. Either way, we are still within 20 years of those two events. At the same time, you can't say he hasn't tried to move past his issues. The very fact he makes appearances for the company, as well as the fact that he has (at least in public appearances) buried the hatchet with both Shaun Michaels and Vince McMahon at least shows an effort to move on. Not saying he should be angry forever, but letting go of that kind of bad blood is a lot easier said than done.

The whole thing about Bret saying bulldog was completely out of his face on drugs and he had to call it. If you actually look at bulldogs execution of moves he's spot on. Sure at some bits like the leap outside the ring he's out of position but you could put that down to the fact he was absolutely shattered as he had no fitness as he'd stopped training due to a severe knee injury.

The 'Great' Khali got a WWE championship shot against Triple H in 2008; that's all I'm going to say about that. Also, Chris Benoit beat Orlando Jordan in 2005, to become the new US champion, in just 25 seconds; obviously we know what happened with Benoit, and we don't hear Orlando Jordan's name in WWE either these days. Oh yeah, and also in 2005, Muhammad Hassan was booked to become the new World Heavyweight Champion before the London bombings happened, and the character was completely scrapped.
