@@robdcollector2808 It was a brilliant comic performance. The Oscars have a habit of overlooking comedy, which according to most actors is harder to do well than drama. I always liked this film despite it being slightly cheesy. A straightforward story, simple but effective visual effects (no OTT CGI here) and great performances by all make it very watchable. Rick Aviles, the actor who played Willie Lopez, passed away a few years later as did Vincent Schiavelli who played the angry train ghost who teaches Swayze how to move physical objects . Also Bruce Willis did finally appear in a film with Demi Moore called ''Mortal Thoughts' which came out the following year. Finally Paramount toyed with the idea of casting Swoosie Kurtz as Molly as they thought having 'Swoosie and Swayze' on the advertising was a great idea. Fortunately that never happened as this may be the best role Demi Moore has played on film and it was certainly a major highlight for Swayze too. Also did you know Tony Goldwyn who plays Carl is the real life grandson of movie mogul Sam Goldwyn (of Metro Goldwyn Mayer fame)?
