Sounds like a frittata would be in order to use up those eggs. I just made one today, and I used 16 eggs, spinach, onion, green pepper, breakfast sausage, mozzarella, and cheddar cheeses. Topped with some salsa & sour cream, it is delicious.

Another great episode thank you very much tell Eily She did a great job on the cooking lesson. I've never been on a catamaran before but I think I would have to agree with Nate that having to move the bed to check the oil would be a pain in the butt . Thank you for sharing this wonderful adventure and those beautiful smiles. Stay safe and have fun and we'll see you next week

We use a biocide in our diesel jerrycans we store and we add (1:to 500 litre) 2 stroke oil in our tank, that helps to keep the injectors clean. worked for last decade.

Thanks - makes a lot of sense! I know I should do more with how long the fuel ends up sitting in both the cans and tanks.

No way I'm allowing a hairdryer onboard. Anything that creates heat is a power hog. Megan's doing just fine with the towel.

Good thing you had a track to get in. I REALLY wish Raymarine and B&G and Furuno and whatnot (is Simrad still around?) would just have a "cloud" database where you could pull those tracks and use in unfamiliar harbors. With thousands of boats passing through every single island, it would be a MAJOR help. And if Felon Elon finally allows what he promised with Starlink, it would be even better.

Yeah - would be really easy to do. I guess they don't want to take the liability.

I need to ask you a logistical question, you're the right person to ask, Nate. How long did you spend in French Polynesia? Which parts did you visit? Marquesas? Tuamotus? Gambier? Australs? Societies? Really want to know.
@sailing_scout

We stayed for just a bit shy of our 90 day visa limits, probably around 80 days. I really wanted to go down to Easter Island and then by Pitcairn before arriving in Gambier, but it would have been a lot of miles sailing much closer to the wind, so we just did the typical Marquesas/Tuamotus/Societies route. It was all great, but the Societies exceeded our expectations - they get a bad wrap from cruisers, but had lots to offer.

6:25 My question is, do you have any fuel polishing system on this luxury cruiser of yours?

More or less. I can just run the boost pumps and continually cycle fuel through my raycor fuel filters.

A lot of boat designs, especially catamarans, have the engine, or engines, under a stateroom, or integrated into the into the kitchen/head/bedroom storage areas

@@brianclapp3259 Could you give an example of a boat that has such an arrangement, "especially catamarans". Because I literally know NONE. Most monos have the engine under or around the companionway, and ALL cats I know - under the cockpit.

@@Maloy7800Vision 444. Antares 44. St Francis 50. Privilege catamarans, eg Zatara. Having engine forward gets weight more central to minimize pitching, also allows for shaft drivetrain, and engines not exposed to salt spray and consequent corrosion in many engines in scoop/transom. Some have gas struts on bed so easy to raise cover with mattress still installed. Some say odors but most owners I know say not an issue at all.

Just outta curiosity, how many fuel filters do you carry as spares?
@sailing_scout

Many. I have the space and they don’t go bad, so I figure I might as well have them. In a remote area of French Poly, I gave one to a fellow cruising boat in somewhat desperate need.
