I'm greatly amused with The Day of the Doctor in this regard -- the scene in the opening of the Doctor and Clara arriving in Trafalgar Square by helicopter-borne Tardis, clearly surrounded by everyone who was watching the filming. 😉 But the inclusion in the script that the UNIT deployment would be explained to the public as a Derren Brown event was a clever way to work it into the end product rather than excise it. 🙂

@Croftice1

I don't think, it's supposed to make her insanely rich, just making sure, that she'd not struggle with her new life. You remember the old couple from the "Planet of the dead"? They weren't rich, but they win the lottery every damn week. You don't have to win millions or so, just a few hundreds would still make sure, that you survive. I'm quite positive, that was what the Doctor did, he knew, how much Donna won (he's a time traveler after all), so he made sure she'd be happy, not insanely rich and potentialy spoiled.

I often meticulously plan out my responses, to varying results. The Big Bang joke: I have never been more proud, ABZORBALOFF!!! Every time... The wine bar sign: Wibbley wobbley, try not to question it. Stephen Thorne's face reveal and the split trousers are part of the reason we love this show so much, and the classic adventures in particular: Great stories, masterful performances, massively over-the-top performances all against a backdrop of cardboard, papier mache, and bubble wrap. How the actors were able to keep straight faces through some of these stories is baffling, and yet we love them even more for it. This video had me cracking up, not just because the jokes were good, but also because the delivery was ON POINT. Well done all around.
@Croftice1
Жыл бұрын
How the actors were able to keep straight faces? Well, after some time the joke will cease to be so incedibly funny anymore. I mean how many times had David shoot the scene from The Idiot's lantern, where he faces the faceless Rose? See, what I did there? XD Eventually he had it done, because so many times the situation became less and less funny to the point of successfully shooting it on camera. This particular scene took at least 8 takes, because in 7 of them, David couldn't keep a straight face when seeing all the marks on Billie's face.

Think there is something wonderful about mistakes and bloopers they add a simple way of letting everyone know this is TV and mistakes happen whether they are meant or not. You see it, maybe deliberate or not. It give classic doctors who more fondness to fans, and it still means that today is the current series a wobbly set and a person in shots that shouldn't be there is possibly something done by accidental misfortune or something else? Ask yourself this question: Are mistakes more pleasing than brushing them off as a plan mistake? It's made out of bloopers and sticky back plastic on the BBC and it works roughly or not, and it's been going for decades on a few minor mistakes and lines forgotten or made up on the spot, and possibly that's why is fantastic and bizarre and a wonderful story about a crazy old man in a blue box with bloopers attached a hug fantastic blooper everyone over looks is the very beginning is the best is Williams first episode? 60 years ago?

I’ve got a few and there all from the power of the doctor like: ~ when Ashad confronts Kate in unit on his right the cyber-man’s arc-reactor is turned off ~when the doctor notices that she is begging to regenerate every time it cuts to a wide shot there is an obvious boom mic over the doctor’s head ~when ace and Grahame are running to the tardis you can clearly see a power generators and even a projector ~when the doctor enter the hotel in Naples, when the doctor comes through the door to her right you can see that they took down a sign that’s above fire alarm But that all I can remember at the moment, by the way I’m not slamming the episode because I no how hard the job is and they did such a good job with the episode these little details are just so obvious I just had to say something. 😅😊

As a Norwegian, it is hard to get over the poor translation of "Bad wolf bay" whenever that comes up. I still ask. Did they just use google translate, or just a dictionary? Did they not bother asking anyone who knew the language, at all? The word "Dårlig" translates to "bad", as in incompetent or poor of quality. However, "bad" has multiple meanings, I'm sure the intended meaning was bad as in mean or cruel? In which case, the correct translation is "slem" Yes, doing it right, you lose the "dalek" gag, but you'd lose that anyway if you pronounced the 'å' (letter a with a ring) correctly. It's not an 'a', far from it. Here's a tip, just substitute the 'å ' with an 'o'. It's still not correct, but much closer. As for the name of this fictional place, I'd name it Slemulfstanden. Slem - bad Ulf - common name meaning ulv, wolf strand - beach en - the The bad wolf beach Or if you wanted to keep the word "bay", an alternative would be Slemulfvika vik - bay a - the The bad wolf bay
