Ask contractors if they help with the claims process. A good contractor will do that and knows how to talk to insurance to get the most money (self serving for the contractor but benefits homeowner for contractor to be fully paid. ) I am a "claims coordinator" for a water restoration company. I was initially a bill collector that transitioned into working claims with insurance. It's my job to get the most money possible out if insurance as customers don't always have the liquid cash to pay for insurance shortages. I am not a public claims adjuster, but I serve that purpose within my company. A reputable service provider should have the knowledge to provide assistance with insurance and how to maximize the claim payout.

I have a corroded cast iron pipe in my basement that caused flooding in the basement My insurance is saying that I am able to get renovation done but there's no coverage for the pipe. I was very vague about what caused The flooding that I know that pipe needs to be fixed and they say that's not covered. Why would they cover restoration but not cover fixing the root of the problem which is the pipe?

@@lydiatrejo6637 the pipe itself is so cheap that shouldn't be your hang up. They should pay for the labor of getting access to the pipe ie cutting thru floors, walls, concrete, etc

I have a question I hope you will answer for me... A roofing contractor came to do an inspection and the first thing he asked for was a copy of my homeowners declaration page. Why would he want to see that immediately? I asked him but I don't remember his answer. It wasn't very clear... How is that useful for them? Thank you for your reply... 🤗

@@gloriasilence I imagine you are filing a roof claim? Might want to see if you have Law or Ordinance? Was this a home? Maybe just to see who the company is? Sometimes, depending on the State, there are certain roofing limitations as well

@@theclaimsquadpublicadjusters Yes, filing a roof claim. "Law or ordinance" ? I don't understand what you're saying here. Yes, a home. 🤔 Thank you...

Jesus. It takes weeks just to get an opt with a public adjuster. I was denied my ceiling fell in one night. There is a hole in the roof. And the adjuster came to inspect . And didn't even care he left later that night got a message claim 700. Not even my deductible. The wall and ceiling are damaged badly. Water filling large bullets . And he denied me. . horrible. I am Dayton Ohio. State farm. I wish I knew what to do. Winter is coming. 😾

Should I upload photos for my insurance company of the area around the rooftop heat pump condensate line before and after sudden water damage? It seems that a leak from the line caused the water damage in the ceiling and dry wall shortly after the heat pump was serviced. The insurance company is sending an inspector, but will it help if I upload the photos I have too, or could it negatively affect my claim? Thanks.

@@lisaszekely2187 what is the cost to have everything fixed? Before you can replace the ceiling/drywall you have to fix the area on the roof or else this will keep happening. Also, if your claim isn't over $10k Which sounds like it might not be I'm not sure it's worth pursuing

@@theclaimsquadpublicadjustersa My roofer did inspect and patched a small spot that might have allowed the leak. The roof is only 2 years old and had no issues until the heat pump service and hasn’t leaked since. I thought I wouldn’t need to file a claim for the small area of damage but I learned from 3 estimates they require mold and asbestos testing (for the popcorn ceiling) to do the repair. The estimates are around 5K.

Can you talk about. If your car was stolen, you have valuables that was stolen along with the car. They want you to file it under homeowners insurance.

You will have limits like laptop I think is $1,000 Unless your total claim is over $5,000 in valuables it's not worth filing the claim. Again, check the policy because really the only think paid at a reasonable amount is jewelry Everything else for most part is under $1,000
