No one should knock these kits! I know kids like the "brands" but teaching basics with plastics will give them skill!

if you ever decide to stop by Ohio, check out Walker Road Park. there is monster bass in there and huge catfish. they restock the fish every year and some of the bass i catch are HUGE. My friend caught a huge 16 pound catfish, you can cast and instantly have a bite

Very nice! I’m a young adult who has never fished but really wants to learn. I live in Brevard County. I don’t know anybody or have any friends/family who know how to fish, how would I start? Do any fishing/tackle stores offer lessons or should I just get a license and a rod and go blind?

Seriously, just watch KZitem. Find baits you want to try and look it up. Theres a video for everything. Might not be the exact bait but if it’s similar then just do what they’re doing. You’ll get better and better.

Do you ever peg your weight when you Texas rig or do you always leave them free moving? Also wonder if you always use bullet weights? I’m not very experienced and have only ever used split shot.
@ChrisSmith-qo6ui
11 ай бұрын
You can peg your weight or not it's more of a preference as for bullet weights it makes it easier to come through grass, limbs, rocks but again if you're using lead doesn't matter if it's a split shot or bullet style tungsten costs more but gives you better contact which is what they normally use, but just keep this in mind use what you want being different can be a good thing giving them a different look

I peg the weight if I’m fishing super heavy cover or if I want to skip the bait but other than that I usually don’t because it effects the action some.
