I love Dawn Platinum Powerwash. It's worth the extra money, but I don't use it for dishes because regular Dawn works well for those. I just did a deep clean of the bathtub and surround and found that the best product was Lysol All-Purpose Cleaner with Bleach. When you spray it, it foams. I let it sit about 20 minutes and the grout was restored to white. I was so sure I'd have to regrout the tile, but this product saved me time and money.

Also for ovens, use a stainless steel scrub pad (grade 0000) they are perfect for scrubbing off that grime especially on glass! We also use it on shower glass doors with hard water stains (helps to spray a product to sit for a couple mins) stainless steel sinks, faucets, and window glass as long as it’s not tinted!

If you’re using it for non-dish cleaning, you definitely should be rinsing it off with a clean cloth afterwards : when the over/microwave heat up from use, or you’re going to get a chemical smell and taste in your food. Also, you’re not leaving it on nearly long enough for heavier cleaning (like the oven, etc.). If you don’t rush through those heavier cleaning jobs, Dawn PowerWash will work. I know. I’ve tried it on all sorts of non-dish cleaning.

When you use any cleaner, let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes, then wipe. Nothing works that fast. I would not use something like this inside a microwave. I wouldn't want odors or chemicals cooked into food. Better off with white vinegar or rinse, rinse, rinse. The product is decent but it smells awful. I still like my own dawn, peroxide and water cleaner mix. Easy, no harsh odors and disinfects. I can see you worked really hard on this. Nice of you. Thanks.

I've been using the Dawn Powerwash for about a year now on clothes, walls, dishes, everything. One thing I found out, is that if you let it sit for a bit (at least longer than a few minutes, depending on the saturation of the stain), the stains are more than likely to come out (especially arm pit stains, c/o the hubby lol).

Thanks for the video. Regarding adhesives (glue on your jars) - there are as many formulations of adhesives as they are jars out there. Some are designed to be really tough to remove. Some may require the Powerwash to sit and get under the glue - and you can probably then use a plastic knife to easily scrape off any residue that remains.

I don't understand all of the enthusiasm over this product. It couldn't get everything off of your oven door, couldn't get everything off of the oven rack, couldn't completely clean your bathroom tile grout, and didn't do well on your window blinds. It did the best job on your microwave. I get the same results from a spray bottle with Dawn and water in it. What I like best is the bottle that Powerwash comes in. It seems like it creates the foaming soap, but it sprays it with force, as opposed to the way normal foaming soap comes out of a bottle.

I never said it was going to work! I was trying 10 different ways I've seen other KZitemrs use it! I wanted to share in my personal experience how well / not well it worked on the 10 selected surfaces! It's an amazing product, in my opinion, for cleaning up "every day" messes. The places it did not come off was in the areas that have built up for who knows how long! (We just moved into this house about 2 years ago). Lastly, I think the whole point it works so well is due to the foaming action you get from the sprayer. Therefore normal dawn dish soap and water wouldn't work as well, or easy! But, thanks for watching!

Dawn Powerwash is awesome - especially for vertical surfaces like shower walls. The key with any and all cleaners is patience to allow it sit on the surface long enough for the cleaning agents to do their job. The dirtier the surface the longer it must sit. Despite what any instructions that any product states - if you simply spray and wipe you are immediately removing the cleaning agents. Counterproductive =(

Love combining this product with the Magic Eraser. It cut down the elbow grease effort significantly. Do be careful about cleaning certain surfaces - this product has alcohol in it. I saw some sap still in areas around the grill that I had not reached with the Dawn Powerwash. You can find Magic Eraser in Costco, Target, Walmart, probably your local grocery store. Dollar Tree now carries their own brand called Buddies. Not sure how well that works.

No disrespect to your video but you can get the same results with a soap water solution in a spray bottle or foam soap dispenser. And it's a good idea! Its just not worth buying pre mixed at almost triple the price. You also can use it most any surface just make sure if you need it really strong make sure to check if it needs rinsing. What i would do actually is get 3 trigger bottles and a foam soap bottle. Make the foam soap really strong (requires rinsing) and keep it at the sink for handwashing dishes and also can wash hands with it. Then use your trigger bottles for 1 a weaker solution for light duty surface no rinse cleaning. 2 a weaker soap solution with rubbing alcohol added for disinfecting. And 3 the old dish soap and vinegar mix ...super strong!! for soap scum and grease. For stains use any of these paired with a magic eraser or baking soda to scour, make a paste. For floors and mop water mix plain water with a tiny bit of your soap and vinegar solution.
