I'd attribute the lack of brutal and dark Pokedex entries in this game to Laventon. It makes sense for the Pokedex to have more lighthearted entries when it's written by one of the few humans in the game that doesn't see Pokemon as a threat.

And the fact that Laventon cannot comprehend the Porygon line and is creeped out by Porygon-Z makes in game sense and in universe sense. Time travel is relevant ever since Celebi's powers are explained, and Laventon doesn't know the advanced technology that came from modern day Sinnoh. And I can understand how he feels anout Porygon-Z's glitchy behaviour. Glitch effects in horror media can be unsettling, almost like an uncanny valley effect.

It’s funny to me how scared he is of Porygon and it’s evolutions. Theirs also and adventure Laventon had with the Gible Line. My first favorite KZitemr, coming back with the content that brought me here in the first place. I absolutely love the Hisuin dex. I always had the Headcannon that dex entries are written by the literal children catching these Pokémon. But we know exactly who’s writing the Hisui dex and he is telling us exactly what he’s found.

That's really just expanding on what we already knew about Azelf and the others, that they can remove their respective "traits" from a human. I'd say Snorlax causing famines is a bigger tonal shift since most of its other dex entries are all "this lad so chill that kids can bounce on his stomach".

it is an auspicious day indeed! jwittz is the kind of tuber I realized a while back that I'd watch just about anything he made, that I could wait a year for him to make a new video and it would be worth it. I loved listening to these dex entries since I haven't gotten arceus. wait a second this is such a small detail but I really appreciate it from wittz and it honestly feels like a relic of an older era of youtube. 10 second musical outro. just 10 seconds at the end of the video with nothing, just a moment after the talking ends but before the video is over. like every poketuber I watch now seems to cut their videos off at the last second, to the point where they'll put the end screen links over the last few moments of footage. like whoah buddy, don't let the door hit you on the way out. it's like everyone thinks the video has to end at the last second and they can't put anything after that. the only other channels I see with any of that ending is other tubers who've been on the site for a long time.
