You should sell a class on how to get famous on KZitem. Each person that buys a class should get a referal discount. The more people that their referrals refer means they get a bigger percentage of the profit. This is a brand new business model that I think would work great for you and I can't see how it would ever fail

Step 1: Find something you like to talk about. Find your niche. Step 2: Follow trends. Niche channels can't ever break through to large audiences. Step 3: Upload everyday, keep trying until something goes viral. Step 4: The algorithm hates spam that doesn't get engaged with, so don't upload stuff that won't recieve views. That'll be five payments of $50, or a one off special offer of $300 and I'll mail you a special T-shirt (T-shirt subject to availability, may not ship to your area.)

When I first started my channel, you somehow found and watched my Hunter Biden video on your livestream...the video had less than 1,000 views and i didn't know if it was "good". But when you reacted to video...You said it was shame it only had 1,000 views..... At the time, I thought my videos sucked and was doubting whether to keep on making more.....And while i didn't even have a 100 subscribers....your comment gave me the confidence to keep ON making videos....because I thought..."Well if coffee said it was good then it HAS to be good right? He knows what he's talking about!" Fast Forward 1 year.... that video blew up and now i'm doing KZitem full time and love every second of it. Congrats on 10 years man! it's been wild watching you evolve from the CoffeeBreak days...to now Coffeezilla being used a verb to describe someone's downfall You've always evolved with the times, upped your game, and left a mark on KZitem that's changed it for the better Appreciate all you've done man, keep on killing it!

I still love to listen to you, your way of reasoning it s a great exercise of intelligence and the quality of your work it's more than just cultural, it's also essential to help people to be aware.... but that fun touch... your suspenders, well I have to be honest, I miss it. I would love the opportunity to stop caring about keeping up the output, so I can focus on making my content WAY better instead of in increments. You made me realize there is a lot on common between artists and KZitemrs. It is more an art than a business. Passion is front and center. Eccentricity is often a catalyst to success. KZitem is a self-influenced system that create new forms of content. Once someone finds a genre/style that works, many people will try to make their own version of it. It's not always the OG that gets the recognition/rewards. But most often than not, true talent will stand out and be recognized by many.

About your point of numbers not bringing satisfaction and one big hit not making a career, I’ve experienced both. I was making shorts on KZitem for 6 months when KZitem featured me as a “creator on the rise” (I didn’t even know this occurred until I saw it in the end of year recap), and one of my videos hit 3.3 million views and I got 10,000 subscribers. This was awesome when it happened, but didn’t really do anything for my other videos moving forward. I still only average 2k-10k views per short, and now I wonder if I’ll ever be able to make a big video again. Despite it, with every video I post, even when they don’t blow up, I still learn and get better. What is much more fulfilling to me than views is the community that can be built around shared ideas and having people who genuinely enjoy your content.

This was fantastic. Your reflections and advice were very useful and encouraging. My favorites in particular: it takes longer than you think to get good at something, but you get better at it faster than you think; and loving it is focus, and focus is everything. Like you, my chosen career doesn't enthrall me. I'm in the gravity of something that does, though I haven't quite identified it yet. Importantly, you've helped me realize I need to focus more on things that matter to me and start cutting out the things that don't matter as much to me.

First off, I'm not into KZitem at all. Beside watching few videos here and there (yours included). The information in this video applies across industry. And I believe it is really just the tale of the entrepreneur. I've ran my own businesses since 17, with two of them doing very well since then. I'm 24 now. And I've found myself thinking about the same things, experiencing the same feels at some point in my journey. Not many people will not relate or understand my message or even yours (beyond the topic specifically of KZitem). But I appreciate this video. I always love information from people that are steps ahead of you (even in different industries). Because stopping to share unfiltered thoughts, beliefs, learnings, and experiences goes a long way for those going through the same process one way or the other. Whether you read this or not -- I appreciate what you do. And can respect your effort and focus to build what you have. It's something many of us on the entrepreneurial journey can relate to. Best of luck and I wish continued success.

We "know" you by now, I'd like to say that you never have to worry about us thinking that you're trying to talk as a "KZitem-guru" who knows eeeeverything, but there's always that fraction of an audience that's searching for someone else to guide them. If I know this "community", and I sure hope I do, most of us absolutely know what to take away from this video. And super congratulations on the 10 years! I've been following you since early on in the CoffeeBreak days, and I cannot even describe how happy I am to see you succeed as amazingly as you have done! You are, by far, the creator that's been influencing my life the most and I am *so* damn happy to see that you are content where you are in life and with what you're doing. Great talk on authenticity and it is by far my favorite thing to see in content creators when you see that lesson click. Dude - thank you so much for this. I'm a professional pianist / drummer / music director for broadway stuff and have been a fan of your content for a long time. Had a total breakdown when Covid started. Lost low-mid six figs of future income all at once. Have since re-evaluated / reoriented / realized how burned out I was and after having these types of conversations with a few other trusted collaborators I am happier and enjoying making music more than I have been in years and years. Tbh the music industry could use a come to Jesus moment about a lot of what you're saying; so much of modern (especially success oriented Millennial) musical theatre / jazz / pop music could really use a deep look at itself... so much has gravitated toward producing maximally monetizable Content with less regard for whether something feels good to do.

As someone who's been on the journey just over half as long, I agree with literally everything (exceot the being famous part because I haven't even had the little 7-11 things you mentioned, and none of my viewers live in my city.) It's funny how you try to force authenticity and then you realise you don't know what that means. And the luck thing... totally. People say it's not luck, and that's sort of true, but then my 4 biggest videos in views were absolutely NOT the ones I'd expect to do well. The biggest by far was only because of lockdown 2020, and the fact that one year before, I'd made a video answering a question that people wanted to know once we went into lockdown. This was great Steven, thank you!

I've always thought being famous would be fun for about a month. Then it would get old FAST. Anybody who WANTS to be famous already has a seed of ... I don't want to say crazy, but definitely a seed of something that might not be the healthiest outlook on life. Which might be why so many famous people seemingly have some serious issues, whether that's an apparent inability to have long-term relationships, or are abusive to their staff, or whatever else. I've also observed during my 53 years on earth, that it seems it takes creatives a solid 10 years before they hit their stride, so your experience seems to confirm that. Thanks for this video! So what I mean is, and maybe im missing the mark here, perhaps it feels awkward having a stranger recognise you and have the focus of that interaction on you (if not awkward, I could see it getting old/boring). However, if you intentionally tried to make the focus of that interaction about the stranger - learning about them, their lives, their motivations etc - perhaps it would become a more interesting and rewarding experience; an experience in which these random encounters could overall lead to greater sincere connection with the people who love what you do.

Loving it is focus man you said it so well. I remember when I was in high school and could not focus on some subjects for more than 10minutes because i was motivated interested. I tried so hard but i just couldnt. In some other subjects i was great, because i fully focused and listened to understand, not just listen. Same with work nowadays, cant focus unless im very interested, might be a bad thing but sometimes its great. Nicely said man.

Much much smaller KZitemr but have been recognized a handful of times in public and I agree with you entirely. So awkward, not at all what I’m interested in. I try my best to keep my friends and family separate from my channel as well, don’t talk about them or share them on my channel. Just wanna make the thing and post it and then go live my life. I’m lucky I don’t have millions of fans like you. Pocket book is smaller though lol

As someone who has just started their KZitem content creation journey, I needed to this. It means so much to hear genuine thoughts from a creator I admire. Thanks for everything you do, and for taking time out of your day to drop some inspiration to those of us who may be in need of encouragement.

It’s interesting to hear your story. I started relatively early on KZitem but kind of got burnt out. Then my channel got stuck in the past and inactive subs and now at a standstill but I’ll get there. I still enjoyed doing it though.

That is so relatible. They say if you stare into the void too long, the void will look back. I don't know that that's really true. If you are staring to the void too long, you realize you're wasting your time. Move on.
