I really enjoyed this video, Doug. The scale can be such a useful tool for weight loss, but not when we use it like a stick to beat ourselves over the head. Changing our mindset is just as much a part of the journey as changing our body. I still weigh myself pretty much every day, but there are those days where the number on the scale bothers me. I just try to sit with that feeling a bit and remind myself to keep it in perspective and not use it as a weapon but just as a tool. Even after all these years and all the progress made in terms of maturity and mindset training (and weight loss) - that number can still be demoralizing when it doesn't go my way. So I occasionally skip weigh-ins when I really need to (rarely, but it happens when life feels heavy). Other times, I just try to push through to desensitize myself to that number and remind myself that it is just one little neutral bit of data that simply reflects my food intake, activity levels, hydration and all that other stuff. Great work. You encouraged me and I'm 16lbs down after 3 weeks. I weigh in once every two weeks. Keep going mate.

Bro, I’ve learned so much from you! I really wish you’d set some goal like run a 5k… not just because you can, but because of all the people you inspire. Idk what your day to day is… but if I knew you were signing up for a race in my area, then I’d lock one in just to run with you. Thanks for being the inspirational person you are. Btw, your music you put on your videos at time are awesome. I haven’t kept up with all your new videos, but your ones from like 2 years ago definitely set like an emotional state… like being in the flow. Anyways, be safe!

Doug, have you considered a fitness challenge like a Ironman Triathlon or a marathon. I know you aren’t weighing in but a big fitness challenge would be awesome to see you tackle. I know you could do it

I’ve found the tape measure to be a much better form of measurement. No more than once weekly around the stomach, waist, chest, and neck.

So your strategy is trust your feelings and repeat the same meals and workouts. They worked last week and you are getting positive feelings this week so it is all still working. Hmmm. Looking forward to those half pics etc.

1) Eat lots of cakes and junk food, 2) do a "transformation", 3) repeat. LOL
