Beautiful colour and it so stylish. Its amazing to see that people actually want to improve their living space...and also bring people who happen to pass by a joy... I also enjoy watching this lady because she is straight to the point and natural leader . Well done!

Amazing! You've inspired me - I wasn't sure about what to do with a house with pebbledash on it but I think I can compromise by painting until later, too. Great job!

This looks really nice and i love it but genuine question (as I dont know either and cant find a straight answer on google), are you supposed to seal the pebbledash beforehand to help stop the pebbles falling which is whats protecting the house from damp etc?

Another great video. What a difference a bit of paint makes and some hard work. Colour is great and the house looks beautiful. Just a thought ... to keep the expenses down or at least put them off for a while have a look at stenciling a victorian tile pattern on the walkways.

is it a solid brick wall or cavity. I wold guess solid brick. There is therefore the question of how the wall can get rid of any moisture that is within the wall. With a cement render external then that is a big problem and painting it will only make that worse. The best option of the house long term would have been to remove the pebble dash, clean the bricks and repoint. Expensive but you would have ensured the long term life of the wall was increased rather than impaired.

It looks bloody fantastic 💖 We did the same with our Victorian terrace... after we replaced our roof we painted the exterior whilst scaffolding was still up. We had brick though, not pebble dash (already painted magnolia, yuck) and we painted it a pale sage green and re painted all the white too. Made SUCH a difference it looks like a new house. Oh aaaand the scaffolders did the same to us 😤 so frustrating!

I've had the back painted and the front will be done in the next month or so. Luckily, the scaffold is owned by my brother so he'll paint all those odd bits as he takes it down. I really wanted a pale lilac, but I'm selling some time after the refurb, so magnolia it is. Yours looks fab and very smart.
@Jules_Pew

Also pebbledash is used to cover spalled bricks, and the price of making good depends on how many bricks they have replaced, and that can vary from 100 to over 2,000 bricks. As it's such an unknown, you're safer just painting it, until you have worst case scenario monies budgeted in the future.
@FeedbyAutumn

You can use farrow and Ball paint in dulux weathershield as well as johnstones and leyland masonry paints. I wouldn't use actual F/B bases as you'll be looking at 90 quid per can of 5litre on average..

Totally get the external renovations needing to be reviewed once you get quotes 😂. We got quotes to re point our stone cottage from cement which is literally blowing the stones it’s such a bad material in period properties, to a lime pointing as it should be. The front elevation and ONE side came in at £37,000. Luckily my husband was sure he was going to do it as it’s only a two week (but laborious) job but the prices are insaneeee. Job for next spring/summer 😂
