Tim, your a nice and honest guy. When you are in a relationship with your going to naturally just help her family. A lot of vloggers make videos about this topic but you put it best. You just buy extra food or pay a something for them because a good girl will always take care of her parents.

Hopefully everyone knows that a budget is just not writing down what you spend-but determining what your income is and targeting what you desire to spend and save each month. Differentiate wants verses needs. Live within your means and always pay yourself first before. I always pay my tithing and charitable donations which is about 15% of my gross earnings. That way I am square with God and it always seems to work out that the money is more than ample to take care of my daily needs. I don't drink or smoke so that is a blessing in more savings and less doctor bills and I don't do activities that put a strain on the budget. I love the old adage: "If you fail to plan then you are planning to fail." Happy Easter to all of you. Family comes first. God bless🐇🥕🥬🐰🥦

someone has to start cooking. much cheaper and healthier to cook your own food.. it’s easy if you don’t know how, check out youtube lol. Also cut back on unnecessary stuff, i.e ice cream, coke pineapple, plant it, canned beans and take outs. Get on the stick and you and the family will be healthier and you will generate more interests than a daily budget run down.

It seems you guys are close enough for it to work out. Just thinking🤗

10 - 15 US per day for food is plenty. A whole chicken should be 2 meals for 2 people. Just add rice and some basic veggies. Eat a couple bags of Ramen style noodles and fruit sometimes. Eggs baby, eggs. A fried egg sandwich goes a long way for cheap. You can get your expenses much lower, quickly. Make it a challenge.

Hey, i just found your page and I subscribed. I'm dave, age 64 and am a LONG TIME travelor to the Phils. Married 2 filipinas, 1st failed and 2nd it awesome, celebrating 13 years in June married, together 15......I've never lived there but been there well over 20 times and stopped counting after 26 months comulative time there. I love the people, I love the life. Most likely will never be able to live there. But I'm VERY experienced w all things filipino although there is STILL SO MUCH TO LEARN. Anyway, I like your videos and am happy there are good places for americans to learn REAL INFO about the philippines. TOO MANY GUYS have 1000 a month income and hate their lives and think going to the Phils w 1k check every month lets them live like a king.....hehhe I'm glad you show correct data and hopefully good advice....keep up the good work.

If you keep on buying the sweet roast chicken for P200+ there's no way you can save. I suggest you buy a turbo broiler and roast the chicken yourself. You can also roast some pork belly in there just like what you keep on buying. Just marinate it in some calamansi, soy sauce, a little salt, a little sugar, some pepper, some shallots and garlic for about an hour then put it in the turbo broiler for about an hour to an hour and a half depending on the size of the chicken and voila! For the pork belly aka Lechon Belly, boil it till it's tender about 45mins. then do the same marinade then broil it. I guarantee you Tim, both you and Chrissy will start gaining weight. Hit me a message if you have some questions, I can pitch in a couple of cooking tips for you to save some bucks on your end. Good luck!

Good Topic Tim, way to keep subscribers interested! I had a GF in Samar, just north of you. And tried to do a budget of $1000 per month but its impossible to predict as you never know what issues her family will have. For me it was a motor went on the fishing boat and that was her Dads business, so if I didn't help they would all starve to death. You know, its part of the culture to help and expected as an Expat. Personally, with no family/or GF or kids its easy to live on $1000 per month. Its all worth it though. Hopefully you have a great family and they treat you with respect and don't take advantage, which it seems like in your many videos. Your blessed. Happy Easter, keep up the great spirit!!

Nearly every video about living in the Philippines tells us go to the Philippines - you will have a good life wíth 1000 Dollar in a month. Paying 300 bucks for renting a flat, 100 Dollar for electricity, little money for visa and with the rest you can live as a baron or a king. Your video shows us that's not true. If you don't want to live as a beggar you need more than 1000 dollar in a month. They tell you don't buy Mentos don't buy Coke, but what does that mean? In the end you live like a beggar with rice and little chicken in a small flat in Dumaguette for 1000 dollar per month. For living as a beggar, sitting in a flat doing nothing and buying nothing there's no need to come to the Philippines for living. Tim, you open some peoples eyes...
