Seeing the comradely and bond behind all of the line workers and tree guys putting their life’s to the side to go help complete strangers during the hurricanes and other storms. To see them( the workers and the homeowners) keep a positive attitude during hard times has opened my eyes for the better.

First off. Congrats on the subscribers, I wish you continued success with your Channel. 👍 Secondly, my story deals with a family vacation I took in 2018 with my wife and daughter to Florida. We had saved enough money during the year to make the drive from Oklahoma to Florida to visit family and have an adventure at the same time. This trip was preplanned for one week, and it was a great week that came and went very fast but still was quite enjoyable. We said our goodbyes at the end of the week and headed back home as we had a two day drive ahead of us. Right after we hit Georgia the unthinkable happened and the transmission went out in our vehicle, and don’t you know the warranty had just expired. We called a tow truck and took it to the nearest dealership service department, and the technician said that transmission we had was a CVT transmission and it would take a specialist to confirm if it could be repaired or if it needed replaced, the latter running upwards of 5-8 thousand dollars. On top of all that this was a Friday and the specialist could not make it out until Monday, so I was really in between a rock and a hard place. Luckily I had a few hundred bucks left over from the trip, enough to rent a room and eat for a few nights while I think about what to do to get home. That night I was really sweating it and my girls were pretty worried too, I racked my brain for hours trying to think of an affordable solution to even just get us and our vehicle home. I really hate asking for help from people, and to my experience friends are hard to find when they discover that you’re down, so I didn’t even want to consider calling anyone but family. I made some phone calls and everyone I talked to was concerned but ultimately didn’t have the money to help me pay for a tow that far, or the repairs, or even renting a vehicle strong enough to pull ours the distance. I spent the whole next day sweating bullets still trying to think of a solution, I was running out of money staying in a room, and I had work the following Monday. That evening my best friend called unknowing of the situation to check in and see how the trip was going. I reluctantly told him of the past 48 hours and the pickle I was in. His response was “why wasn’t I the first person you called?” He ended up driving 23 hours straight there in his diesel truck with his wife, and when they got there they took a nap and I went and rented a Uhaul trailer to tow our vehicle back with his truck. That afternoon we all loaded up and I made the drive straight back to Oklahoma. Another 23 hours. That whole time I couldn’t tell you how surprised and grateful I was to be heading home. He was best friend but never did I think that he nor anyone else would make the drive nonstop. That to this day is the kindest thing a friend has done for me, and I will forever be his debt. So sometimes people can surprise you, and sometimes the world isn’t as ugly as it might seem. Thanks for hearing the story and great idea on having us post them. Hope it wasn’t to long!

Congratulations on reaching one thousand subscribers and passing your exams! My most recent witness to a very selfless act was actually here on the YTPC. 2ampipeonthepatio released a video where he talked about being outbid on a house him and his family are wanting to buy. His realtor decided to forego her commission which allowed them to get closer to the highest bidder. The seller was also generous in that even though Onion still wasn't the highest bidder, she accepted his offer. Both the realtor and seller came together in a very generous way. What a great act of kindness! Thank you for your channel!

So awesome brother, congratulations and certainly well deserved. You are definitely one of the "YTPC Gold Channels" Positive thoughts and prayers to your new endeavors 👊💥 I see amazing deeds and people all of the time, but the first that comes to mind is a time I was walking out of a restaurant and a Gentleman in front of me stopped to talk to a man that looked cold and hungry. He took off the jacket he was wearing and handed to him along with some food in a bag. The mystery man didn't get into a car, he just disappeared into the night without saying a word. A true blessing and a remarkable act of kindness. A definite reminder of the kindness that still exists. Be well, JB.

Last year my wife and I had our third child. The baby came way too early, and we had some very serious complications with the baby. Somewhere around the one month mark of us basically living in the NICU with our very sick baby. An elderly woman came up to me in a wheelchair and gave me a small crochet blanket and hat for my baby. She said that her retirement community that she lived in had made several of these items to give away to premature babies. This happened at a time when my wife and I were really struggling with the situation at hand, and to this day it was one of the kindest things anyone has ever done for me and my family. Congrats on the new business!

Congratulations on 1k subscribers! My wife had neck surgery in early 2019. She is an elementary music teacher for pre-k through 5th grade. During the surgery she lost the ability to sing. She went with me on a mission trip to Northern Ireland to live in the people their who struggle with mental health. The rate of depression and suicide was much higher than it should be for any place. We went to Tollymore Forest where a now dear friend prayed over her for healing for her voice. All at once she began to sing as if there had never been a surgery. She was moved to the point of tears and now bears a tattoo that shows the coordinates of where she was healed for good. We will never forget what happened that day! Thanks for the ability to share in the kindness of others! Blessings for the future!

Part of my duties in a previous posting was to work as chaplain to several Geriatric Hospitals in County Donegal. They were never the cheeriest of places, but staff did all they could to make them as homely as they could. On a number of occasions I was in at odd hours of the day in the Wards where the residents had no one in the world. I would hear the soft lilt of singing, mumbling and a little confused, and then a gentle clear voice lifting the tune high for all to join in. It was a very well known (world famous) singer from Donegal (I'm not going to name him because he did it in private) who simply called in and sang a few old Irish songs with old Irish folks who had no one else. He actually blushed when he realised that I had seen and heard him! He had no escorts, no press pack, no fuss. He spoke to all individually, prayed with us all as I led a prayer for the ward, and then slipped out quietly. I'll never forget that.

March of 1993 my father witnessed, to me, the love that Jesus Christ has for me (but not just me). That ultimately changed my life! An act of goodness that I personally witnessed was my best friend and his wife adopting 3 siblings who had little hope, but was given a chance by a loving family to live a life that they may have never known. God hasn't called my family to adopt, but this act of kindness has driven us to support those who do.

Thanks for the opportunity. I work as a nurse in a clinic. We see patients with neuromuscular disorders. A lot of the patients have government insurance and don’t have much money. A wonderful doctor I worked with at that time was treating a patient who was not able to get the leg braces/orthotics they needed. The insurance company declined to pay for them. This doctor decided to pay for them out of his pocket just to help the guy out. I believe it cost about $700. The patient was moved to tears and it truly warmed the cockles of my heart.

Firstly, Matt, I want to thank you for doing what you do. Healthcare workers have had the hardest year imaginable, so thank you for helping see this nation through a very dark hour. Secondly, thank you for sharing this story. The cost of healthcare in this country is exorbitant and too many are left with a mountain of debt or in poverty as the result of the high price. So when I hear these kinds of stories of compassion by healthcare providers (and there are many stories like this), I'm filled with hope. Thanks so much for sharing it!

There are so many stories I could share. The one that immediately comes to mind took place when my wife and I lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 7 years for ministry work. We were very stretched financially due to the high cost of living there, and there was a time when we desperately needed a second vehicle. A semi-retired doctor from our church approached me one day and said he and his wife were heading to Arizona for the winter, and asked if I would like to borrow his truck since nobody would be using it while they were gone. I accepted and just having it for the winter was a huge blessing in itself. When they returned, he asked me how I liked the truck, which I totally loved. Then he asked, "Would you like to buy the truck?" When I hesitated and started explaining that we weren't in a position to buy it, he cut me off and asked, "How would you like to buy it for a buck?" We were overwhelmed by his gratitude and that truck was a blessing to us for several years!

I was driving a ford Taurus and got caught in a flash flood situation. I couldn't see past 10-20ft through the rain. I decided to pull off the road and as I pulled into a parking lot there was a low spot going into the lot that wasn't visible. My engine got flooded and water was just above the floorboard. As I was getting out and trying to figure out how to get my care up the incline going into the lot, 3 guys jumped out of a parked truck and just started pushing my car while I hopped in and steered to get out of the road. Mind you it was pouring and we were in about 18 inches of water in the side of the road. Not only did they help me, but probably prevented someone else getting hurt by possibly running into my car. Thank You for shining a light on the Good in this world.

This is a very generous and thoughtful giveaway Logan, thank you. Your question reminded me of a time over 30 years ago when I was serving active duty in Okinawa Japan in the Marine Corps. I was a young, wild, vulgar, and profane Marine when an older Marine was assigned to my barracks room. He had a master's degree in Divinity from Harvard, and enlisted in the Marine Corps to learn humility. He brought his wife and two daughters with him to Japan. He was not intimidated by my wild life style and would always confront me with the decisions I was making and forced me to come to terms with the life style I was living. He never gave up on me, and constantly invited me over to have dinner with his family and invested in me heavily over the two years we were both stationed there together. He was instrumental in my coming to the Christian faith, because he saw something in me I did not see in myself, and never gave up on me. Over 30 years later and we all are still friends today.

Thanks so much for sharing that story, Greg! My grandfather was stationed in Okinawa during WWII. He was a sailor. He never quite lost his wild, vulgar, and profane side 😄 I truly believe that the real Christ followers in this world are not those who take offense at the vulgarity of this world but rather they understand it, and understand what it takes to choose a different path. Jesus lived amongst sinners and ate with them and called them to follow him. He didn't condemn the sinner, he condemned the religious. What a great story about what real discipleship looks like and how it impactful it can be.

Congrats on 1K! In recent history, I was offered a salaried position. An awesome opportunity for my family. Problem was I was driving an hour to work, had more hours in the day and then an hour back home. There’s this very generous couple in our church that saw a predicament in family of five with only one vehicle- if something were to happen to one of my wife or kids, it’s an hour before I could even be home and that’s IF I was able to leave. So as a ministry, whenever they buy a new vehicle rather than using their current one as a trade-in, they offer it to a family in need and reached out to my wife. What a testimony of God‘s provision! Inspired inspired me to get us into a financial situation where we would have the disposable income to be able to bless people that may be struggling the way that they did for us. Keep up the great content brother!

Congrats on hitting the 1000 my friend! Went up from me being the 200somethinth pretty quick. I don't have one really meaningful strory to share, so I'll give you the best two I can think of: 1. At the reataurant I work at we have this elderly couple (both in their 80s) who come to eat every sunday and holiday. I can literally take their order without even asking by now. They are really nice people, always polite and undemanding and generally easy to work with (everybody who works in customer service knows that that's not the case with all people). So after every meal when they pay their bill of 25-30€ they will tip us around 5-11€ where a regular customer would tip around 2€ and they are just really happy with the overall experience. Them being that grateful for good service while I just do my job and maybe listen to them talking about how proud they are of their granddaughter always touches me a little. 2. I was an intern with a lawyer for about a month this spring. One day I went to court with him where he defended a young guy (about my age, maybe a few years older) who was accused of aggrevated assault. The lawyer believed that the guy was innocent (and so did I after talking to him) but despite there being evidence for him being innocent, the judge found him guilty and sentenced him to 6 months in prison on probation. I'll never forget the look of defeat on this guy's face. When we got out of the courtroom the lawyer and I both knew that an appeal would be 100% successful, but the client couldn't afford one. At that moment the lawyer felt so injured in his personal sense of justice and his belief in the constitution that he took it as his own risc to defend him once more in court and hence sacrifice his own time and resources for a guy he didn't even know but believed to be innocent.

Logan, congrats on the well deserved milestone! I have appreciated and enjoyed all your content. Also congrats on starting your own business, that is another great accomplishment. For a story of something good that I witnessed, you talked in your video about giving your best and my story is along those lines. When I was younger there was a family down the road from me. They were trouble makers, had issues with drugs and alcohol, and struggling to make ends meet. Christmas time was just a few days away and my parents felt they were being led to give to this family. I watched as my parents pulled together some extra money and they went out and bought food and drinks for the family and gifts for the kids. They packaged it up in a tote and dropped it off in the early hours of the morning so no one knew it was them doing the giving. My parents did this type of thing throughout the year, but this one was especially impactful because I was able to see real time how their lives and Christmas was impacted in a positive way. It has instilled in me the desire to give of my resources or time to hopefully have that same kind of impact into someone else's life.

It’s not a trivial process to even get to the point of being qualified to donate. Then you have to go through surgery and recuperation for many weeks. On both situations, these loving family members saved the lives of others! Both situations came down to the wire. One person who donated had some complications and is still recovering. It was September 12 2001 after the attack of our country we were collecting money in fire boots at the intersection of our city with my fire dept and was shocked by who was donating the most money were people that looked like they could least afford it and I felt bad for taking it but with out hesitation put it in the boot smiled and said thankyou to me for my service. People I might have called a dirt or something if I were in another situation. Changed my perspective after that.great job bro

Thanks for sharing that, Rob. I remember that time so clearly. I got married that month amidst all of that chaos and uncertainty. Forever etched in my mind are two things about that month...smoking towers falling to the ground and the overwhelming outpouring of goodness and compassion of people. I had never experienced anything so dark in my lifetime and I had never seen how brightly the light of goodness could shine in response to that darkness. I truly believe that September 2001 is why I hold hope for the goodness of mankind, because I witnessed it. Thanks for this reminder, Rob.

I lost a piece for my throttle cable. Local motorcycle shop searched around for a while and found a used one off of another cable. Gave me it free of charge, and I was back on the road.

I'm have so many reasons to be grateful and have gone from homelessness to homeownership all with the help of friends family and generous strangers, but I think that we all are missing the act of kindness right in front of us which I would argue is the ytpc and KZitem communities in general. Its easy to be jaded by technology and technological products. Maybe those grievances are appropriate, KZitem has helped me and saved me so much money and time. All of the people that contribute and try to help their fellow being no matter thier religious or political beliefs of age, race, or religion. There's so much knowledge that is offered freely (including your content) Its so kind of people to create, especially niche content, and keep it working. Its easy to complain about it and talk about overreach, but KZitem has done so much to help me in so many aspects of my life that I think it's important to remember the amazing things that we have been fortunate to take for granted no matter their flaws. Sometimes the moving kindness to remember isn't something from the past, but the foundation we stand on.

A great reminder that simple acts of creativity bring light into the world. You never know who you might be helping...or saving that day. Thanks for that insight!

My story is when my oldest son was first born in 2009 I was laid off my job and went a time without one. During this time my car broke down and I took it to the shop with plans to have to charge the repair of a few hundred dollars to a credit card. When I picked it up and ask how much it would be I was told it was already completely paid for. The father of my good friend had without me knowing or me telling him paid for it.

2013 - I was getting married and was struggling to pay for the wedding/finding a place to live for my soon to be wife and I. Somehow the topic came up while speaking with my dad. I told him how stressed and afraid I was. His response was "let me worry about that stuff. You focus on loving your wife and living your life happily." In that second something clicked and I realized that he was not only a great man, but a great father as well. I've been happily married for 8 years and I'm constantly reminded of that day anytime I see my children. I'm a better father to my kids because of those two simple sentences.

I literally had just went to your channel to see if there were any new videos, and lo and behold, here this was! Okay, here’s my story… My wife had a pup for 14 years. She was a loyal and faithful dog and had been a constant companion through many hard times. Unfortunately, one evening when we took her out for a short walk, she seized and we had to rush her to the emergency vet where we had to say goodbye. It was an incredibly rough time and my wife was really hurting. It also happened to be around 10:30 in the evening when this happened. I called my parents to see if we could bury her next to their two recently departed dogs and they said absolutely. So here we were, grieving the loss of our little friend and now, we had to bury her. I called my next door neighbor. He’s a pilot in the Air Force and just a stand up guy. I asked if he would mind helping me dig the resting place for the little dog, and without missing a beat, he said “no problem”. We got to work and finished about 2 hours later. During that entire time he just talked with us and then said how much of an honor it was that we called him to help. His generosity and empathy struck me and I’ll never forget how willing he was to give and lend a hand in a very difficult moment.
