Nice! Now if Taurus would just make a similar pistol in 22 wmr, that’d be so sweet.

I wanted to pass along a horror story regarding Taurus / Rossi. I purchased a pre owned Rossi, single shot 7.62x39 rifle. After shooting it, I discovered it didn't like the steel case ammo with berdan primers. I contacted Rossi and spoke with a rep. I explained my issue with the rep who immediately stated the rifle needed to be sent to them for the repair as if she had already heard my story. A repair order was started and had to pay $50 to ship it to them. There was also a $50 bench fee. After sending in the rifle to Rossi/Taurus, I did a little more homework and discovered the firing pin issue was a notorious problem for that gun. I then received a call from Rossi who told me the issue was the firing pin, which I already knew. The rep explained to me that Rossi no longer possessed parts for my gun and it could not be repaired. Rossi then stated I could go over their new firearms and choose one to purchase from them at dealer price. That price was really just street price. No substantial discount. If I didn't want to purchase one of their new guns, I could get my gun sent back to me in "As Is" condition. I told Rossi I wanted my rifle back. The conversation then went into to topic of the "Red letter" which turned out to be a complete CYA for them. The letter was an agreement that Rossi could not be held liable for any issue with the gun. I then received my gun back. I opened the box and tipped it to remove my gun from it. I heard something metal hit the floor and realized the firing pin was what I heard hit the floor. Rossi had taken my gun apart, removed the firing pin and put the gun back together. They then sent the inoperable gun back to me. These guns don't just break down where you can disassemble to clean. Special tooling is needed to remove pins and such. The fight was now on. I called Rossi inquired why they made my gun inoperable. Rossi stated I had not elected to purchase a new gun and receive the gun back "As Is". They attempted to tell me that once they found what was wrong with it, they stopped working on it and just sent it back to me. They would not admit to putting the gun back together, minus the firing pin. I then asked if I could send the gun back to them so they would re-install the firing pin? The rep told me it would be another $50 bench fee. Unbelievable!!!. Bottom line is that Rossi/Taurus make low quality, budget priced junk. Rossi / Taurus didn't like the fact I wanted my defective gun back and they couldn't hide it from the public by keeping it. There is more to the back and forth banter I had with the company which I won't bother you with. The experience with Rossi/Taurus left such a bad taste in my mouth that hearing the two names gets me steaming mad. I never would have thought that a company who operates the way Rossi / Taurus did with me would ever survive. Every firearm I possessed with their name on it was out of the safe and sold. I hope no one ever has to experience my experience with Rossi / Taurus. They set a trap to obtain all of the junk guns they made and if you don't buy a new one, they destroy the one you sent to them for repair. $200 more to a competent gun smith, the firing pin was repaired and re-installed. I almost sent Rossi the invoice. Sorry for the rant.

Thank you for comming over here to post your story as I requested. I'm not sure about how the whole Taurus/Rossi thing works, and Heritage for that matter as well (Taurus makes/owns the Heritage Rough rider revolvers). To make it even more confusing, the same company that owns Smith and Wesson owns or at least did own Taurus. So in a sense, if you're going to disown Taurus & Rossi, then you'd also have to disown S&W lol. I currently own several, and have in the past owned even more Taurus pistols. My experience with their models if I'm honest, has been mixed. I had to take advantage of Taurus' lifetime warranty twice now on the TX22, and am about to do so for a third time with a 942 I bought new this year (apparently Rossi does not fall under this lifetime warranty?). They released the TX22 with defective barrels (video posted) and sent me a replacement after a simple phone call, no need to send my pistol in. And honestly my barrel was destroyed due to a undetected squib load (video posted) and I told them such, and they still sent me the barrel no questions asked. I was extremely happy with that interaction- I thought their customer service was awesome at that point as you can imagine. Later on the slide broke on my TX22 and at that point they did request that I send it in for repair. I had a real silly brain fart moment and accidentally sent it out to them without the barrel, rod, and spring. Amazingly without even contacting me or even mentioning it when I got it back, they replaced the missing components (including the broken slide) free of charge so they could test fire it before sending it back to me complete. Once again I thought this was amazing of them, which indeed it was. My only complaint is that I had to pay to send the defective pistol to them, which as you know is not cheap to mail a firearm. It is my opinion that the customer should not have to pay anything out of pocket to send back a defective product for repair. Ruger for example, pays shipping both ways which is awesome... So overall, my experience with *TAURUS* (not Rossi) customer service has been pretty good, I just don't think the customer should have to pay the shipping. And I'm not making excuses for the Rossi division, but perhaps you didn't get the greatest individual(s) to deal with on the other end. I had a similar experience with CCI customers service regarding that squib load I mentioned (video posted), where they basically called me a liar until I forced them to watch the video proof I had on the channel. I don't buy CCI anymore after that experience after being a loyal customer for 20 years, so I fully understand your sentiments towards the company after your experience because that's how I felt and still feel about CCI after that one guy on the other end peeved me. Often times the wrong people are put in charge of interacting with customers and their actions may not align with the companies standards under certain circumstances like ours. And with nobody monitoring their interactions with us, the company may not be aware their customer service rep is ruining customer relations in such a manner. Still leaves a bad taste in your mouth though doesn't it? CCI is losing a lot of my money now due to that one guy they put in charge treating me wrong, and even more than that due to my influence on this platform. They were my go-to and most highly recommended, but not anymore...

Sweet 22, some of my favorites. I got a tricked out Mark iv, I put Voltquartsen everything on mine and gutted it and have an Sig Romeo 5 dot on it, shoots like a dream. Love your 22 rimfire videos thanks

The tx22 looks a hell of a lot better than the 9mm g series. I have the stainless steel recoil spring in my g3c and it shoots soft with the 17 round mag and sleeve for a better grip

Ever since it came out I've wished they'd make a 9mm version because I love the looks and ergo's so much. But they won't because they already have the G, TH, and TS series...

@@BuckeyeBallisticsI thought they had a tx9 or something super similar to the tx22 but for whatever reason it never made it to the US market. Shame really because I love my tx22. 100% reliable with aguila super extra copper coated. Plus if you buy it online you can actually get it cheaper than federal auto match plain lead ammo. Still have quite a bit of the auto match and its 98% or so reliable, will have some FTF or misfeeds with them. Looks to be the TS9 if I didnt have my canik sf elite I would definitely look at it. Repeated hits at 30+ yards with the canik on a 10" plate is almost boring. Sub 4 pound trigger out of the box can't really beat that.

@riley - I liked the bare bones Canik I had a couple years ago, never tried one of the snazzier ones yet.

A few years ago, when I decided to give red dots a go, I picked up a Taurus TX22c and put a Holosun HE507K-GR X2 on it, yes the sight costs more than the pistol did, but I figured out how to use a red dot with that little gun. I have since moved the dot over to a Ruger MKIV and the TX22c has become one of my favorite plinkers. Before I took the dot off, it was ammo picky, since removing the dot, it eats everything.👊 I have not done anything to mine, but now I am wondering if that 25 round mag will work in my compact version.🤔

Just get it online. Gotta watch what I say, but there is a certain place similar to TSC but sells pews also- $12 shipping to your closest one and no transfer fee. A few other places have under $20 shipping too and if you have a cheap ffl guy like I do ($10), still not bad...

I’m not trying to be a smart ass but whats the purpose of a “comped barrel” on a 22? 😳🤔🤷♂️

Oh ok I listened further. “Reduced recoil”, I literally chuckled! Thanx for the laugh.

Slide, and yeah you're reducing recoil on something that already has very light recoil. But if you're building a race gun, even a .22, it helps- could mean the difference between winning the match and comming in 3rd or 4th. I did a side by side comparison with and without, and my fast shot groups were smaller/more accurate with the comped slide and follow up was a tad faster as well if I recall correctly. It's miniscule becaise it's a .22, but it is noticeable.

@@BuckeyeBallistics was that one of the early ones? I heard they have some issues with bad recoil springs and slides cracking on the first run of tx22s
