i have a question, i have been working on this all day. Does this work PH = (ISA - QNH)30 + Elevation DA = (PH / 500 -15 + OAT)120 + PH
@tac-cobserver3788
3 жыл бұрын
Cool... Anyway i've followed your equation for the question at timestamp 2:26 but i got different result. so, 3000' elevation QNH = 997 hPa PH = (ISA - QNH)30 + Elev (15-997)30 (-982)30 = -29.460 + 3000' = -26.460 PA DA = (PH/500 - 15 + OAT)120 + PH -26.460/500 = -52,92 - 15 = -97,92 + 17 = -50,92 x 120 = -6.110,4 + (-26.460) = -32.570,4 DA From the Pressure Alt, i got negative value or maybe i got missed something dude ?

Hey mate, ISA is 1013 Ph = (1013 - Qnh) x 30 + elevation Da= (rounded ph to nearest even 500 ÷ 500 -15 + oat) 120 + ph I have done both my RPL and PPL and this formula saved me heaps of time :) 😀 and got me passes on the exams

@era flug , i have one query. some where you are saying 1 C per 120 ft temperature variation and somewhere 2 C per 1000 ft, why? it should be then 1C/500 ft if 1000 ft relates to 2C variation. and if 1C/120 ft variation is standard then 2C should be pr 240 ft? i didn't get this point. regards
@kodiererg

Abu Qasim one is for pressure altitude and one is for density altitude. If at 3000' your winds aloft chart says the temperature is 9°c then you would subtract 9 from 15 to get 6 times 120'. Then your pressure altitude at 3000'msl is actually 720' lower than planned altitude. Use this for calculating true airspeed. Using the standard lapse rate of 2°c per 1000' we can assume that if the temperature at 3000'msl is 9° that it is actually 6 degrees warmer at sea level. 15°. Which is standard temperature.

Both SI/Metric and Imperial unit will always end up with the same value. The most importantly, just dont input wrong constant value of a unit for the conversion. Wrong constant value = Wrong result That's the simple key factor, every units matter tho hehe
