I agree the landlord has the right to evict her, but having the right doesn’t mean you should. As someone who has family that rents, I could never in good conscious have my family evict a 102 year old for my benefit, I would tell my father no as a matter of principal and out of anger that he even thought I would find it acceptable. This lady doesn’t have long for this world, letting her live in peace hurts no one in the big scheme of things.

He 'looks' discussing? and haert less? Is it because he owns more than one property and wants to place his daughter in his second home? That isn't immoral or unethical in any way. @@JimmyFranny You're ultimately right. It's just if it were my property, I wouldn't do it, just as a mere kindness from my heart, especially since she's 102 yrs old and has occupied tis space for decades. I dont think so. Cheaper to rent or own a condo than a house. You never ever own your house, dont pay taxes, government takes away your home to sell and pay your taxes. Than your responsible for all house repairs which cost an arm and a leg, responsible to cut grass, trees, water them (we in a desert grass is not normal to grow here and need a lot of water) ect and obey HMO rules and regulations, no freedom. I do think those laws need to change though. Hope this lady find a home soon, that is so messed up law is for owner but not surprisingly just as any business can fire you for just not liking you unless its for religious or race but thats hard to prove cause they can fire you for those reasons but can simply say I just did not like the person period so he/she had to be fired... smh Wonder who passes those laws without us citizens having a chance to know they are on the ballot to vote on, oh wait its big corporations that out money into government officials... smh oh well I guess.

Exactly. Housing prices in LA have skyrocketed. She could had purchased a home for 80G in 1980. That same home would have been worth more than 600 grand in Ladera Heights today. All that equity! I’m so sorry for her. I wish she would had invested instead of renting.

Do the math: if she's 102 years old now and she's been there for 30 years, don't you think she might have been close to retirement or already retired when she moved in?
