The Adam Lambert thing and Graham Gouldman's outfit are both very good bands. They pull together as much band DNA as possible and put on very good shows. But they are NOT Queen and they are NOT 10CC. They simply cannot be, for various reasons. But I am glad they do what they do, and why shouldn't the surviving members continue to make a very good living?

It keeps 10cc music history the best way alive. Paul Burgess was their studio Drummer at the very first records. Rick Fen was also on tour and on record the early days. So with Graham Gouldman who wrote so many fantastic songs and on his age still so fantastic, this is the bests 10cc experience you can get. Go to them there still touring around the world.
@tessjuel
Жыл бұрын
@@L5Nlcommunicatie-design Slight correction: Paul Burgess was their *live* drummer, not their studio drummer. Kevin Godley was the only drummer on their first four records but he also played a lot of percussion and, of course, did a lot of singing. There was no way he could do all of that live so they added Burgess as a second drummer/percussionist and sometimes keyboardist on stage.

Overrated. They always tried too hard to be arty farty and a lot of useless breaks and non sensical key changes just to be different. I could never pin them down regarding were they pop, early new wave, progressive, laid back cocktail music. A poor man's Pink Floyd. A lot of their music like this one has long meaningless intros. Not In Love went on for 9 minutes simply because the middle of that song went on and on and you just get bored with it. Iconic musician and held in the highest regard for many but not for me. This song is a cluttered mess. And also goes on and on in the middle going nowhere. Jesus 8 minutes long. Boring crap.

Godley and Creme left in 1976. Dreadlock Holiday did not involve them. Eric Stewart seriously and permanently injured in a car accident in 1979. Paul Burgess on drums here played extra drums and percussion with 10cc from the early 70s, and the guitarist was involved in the 70s too. Besides, I always thought Graham Gouldman was the brains behind 10cc, along with Eric.

I thought this was really good, Graham is the heart of 10cc. And isnt that Rick Fenn on guitar, he’s like the fifth 10cc:er? As a comparasion,, another favourite band of old of mine Alan Parsons Project lost one member, Eric Woolfson and the decline in quality is huge. My guess is that there is a standing invitation to the original members come with the band, and they give their permission to play their songs, or Gouldman only plays his own songs. At least I would guess the song selection is heavily towards Gouldman songs.
