Exactly- as long as everyone understands each other right? So why do so many Japanese NOT understand English? Lack of education about the true nature of spoken English. And American English isn’t the best. It just happens to be the only one I know. I recommend anyone learning English to choose a native accent that best suits them 🫡
Well thanks for watching. My videos are for people who wanna express themselves in English a little better than before. So if you don’t wanna improve anymore then that’s ok. だって俺は漢字を勉強しない。したくないし。 so as long as your satisfied with your level then more power to you. My only question is why didn’t you comment in English?
I’m not really sure what you’re saying. 10 Japanese actresses. In another video I put all the foreign born geinojin together

@@kysennpai Obviously you didn't research well enough before making this video then. Shiori is a native speaker of English from Australia. I was just wondering why she was included and her "English skills" were being evaluated by you. In the past, you did Kevin and Maiko Kawakita who grew up in NYC with my sister as well. I just thought it was funny since just because they are ethnically Japanese, they were evaluated and told "Eigo ga umai" lol - Honestly, it's kind of condescending and disrespectful. They ARE American like yourself. But don't bother. Good luck making $$ by doing this.

You clearly missed the point. Sorry these videos weren’t made for you 🙏🏻
One of the biggest misconceptions is how long you live in a foreign country has nothing to do with your ability to speak English well. You married a native English speaker and have lived there for years, and this life circumstance has no direct language improvement either. I studied linguistics for foreigners decades ago at a university here in the state. You have to be fortunate or force yourself to be only English-speaking life for over five years to remarkably get rid of your accent, intonations, and pronunciations. The study shows it would be too late if you were over 15. However, with consistent practice and immersion in the language, you can make significant improvements at any age. You commit to speaking only English with natives around you for many years. No wonder young teens and kids naturally learn and quickly adapt to speaking English like natives. Their adaptability is remarkable and should give us hope for our language-learning journeys. By the way, I love what the Japanese say about other Japanese people's English-speaking language skills: "Pera-Pera." That means an incompetent level, which I call "Gata-Gata Eigo," but do your best.

Hey kyせんぱい!Thanks for your ぐるぐる🌀Lessons! I was so impressed by those Japanese actresses who trying to speak English. Aren’t they wonderful? I like Smile’s conversation the best. I also like Keiko’s ( 北川景子) heartwarming talking. I am so happy and appreciate you came to Japan probably long time ago, and learned to speak Japanese very hard. I wish I can do the same thing to learn English! ( Sorry for my poor English!) Whenever I meet the people who love Japan, and trying to speak Japanese even though it’s a little bit, they make me sooo happy.☺️ I feel welcome to all foreigners who like Japan. I enjoy talking with them. Unfortunately, when I talk to Americans in English, they never ever fix my English mistakes. Why not!! I am very frustrated. So, I feel like I would never be able to realize what my mistakes are…I want them to tell me what’s wrong with my English, and which words I should fix …but no one says anything to me😢 The only one person told me once that my English is horrible. She was very honest that I really appreciate it. I hear you what your point (concept) of your ぐるぐる🌀lessons is here. On the other hand, I understand what Japanese are saying to you. I think your concept and their feelings are not the same places ( how can I describe…) Japanese mind( spirit ) is beautiful and very different from American mind. Most Japanese do not like to point out someone’s mistake, and oppositely other people do the same thing to them. They respect your process to trying. It does not matter if you are not perfect. The process with your heart are valuable than the results of perfection. This is a kind of Love. But, to foreigners, they want Japanese to be more straightforward with them. So, people can misunderstand easily that you are not blaming Japanese at all! Where you focus and where Japanese people focus are different. The most point is how you say with your good heart. Your Respect for others is in your words in Japanese spirits. I can tell why you make them uncomfortable. It is all about how you say to them with your heart as a human! ( But not as an English teacher ). And another point is that because you are saying everything in Japan. If you say the same kind of thing to Japanese in the US, they will not feel bad. Do you know what I mean? Well, if you go to the US, Americans are mostly very straight forward. If we do not have a strong will that you really want to get better for your English, one way to say…you might not be able to enjoy to talk to others. Because we want to understand each other really well, right? So, I guess it’s up to you how you want to be with your English. To me, I really want to be able to speak and pronounce English like Native speakers. I do not satisfy my “Japanese English” at all. Very poor😢. And I have many English speaker friends who came from all over the world, we think our English sounds very funny, because it’s way far from Native ones. But, we love to speak English each other😊 Isn’t it funny? Mine is very poor, but I enjoy spending time with Native speakers, and foreigners. And of course, I have a desire for my English to be better someday before my life ends ! However, I respect you, and also Japanese people who left their comments here. Ky せんぱい、you are pretty cool though! I like your hair style too😉But now, please dig into how Japanese people feel ! If you got it, everyone will be able to understand what you want to tell them! Take care, See you next time!

Thanks for the thought out comment. Ya, I wish jr high schools set everyone up properly. Well, rather than focus on the problem, let’s focus on the solution. Keep talking in English. All day long if you can. The more people you talk to the better. Eventually you’ll realize you say the same things over and over. That’s where it would be nice to find a native speaker who shows you a more natural way to say something. I was lucky because my host family would tell me how to say everything in kansai-ben. They also told me if something could NOT be said a certain way. Anyway, talking all day without trying to improve is a waste of time, in my opinion. You obviously have the drive so keep going. It would be nice if you had an English coach who could show you the more natural way to say things, but in the meantime just mimic people that you hear will take away the overthinking. Just mimic real people. 😉

Hi Ky先輩!Thanks so much for your thoughtful messages! Wow, that’s amazing to hear about your roots in the Kansai accent ! I can’t imagine how you acquired the taste of Kansai world ! Very interesting. Why don’t you make some movies about your life stories? That would be awesome! Thanks for giving me such a great advice. I usually try to listen what native people say, but it’s very difficult to fix my mistakes by myself during the conversation with them since they don’t tell me anything about my mistakes. And unfortunately, I do not have a good native speaker English teacher around me. Some people say, I have an “accent”. They are probably telling me my English is “Japanese English”. Another thing is, I do not like to hear & speak the F words(and some other rude slung words). Even though some beautiful ladies say those words so often. 💔 They told me that they feel better after they yelled the dirty words out! 😱 Oh my goodness! However, I never give up, and I will persist in my efforts until my life ends. I will keep trying to mimic the people. Hopefully, I meet someone who speaks and pronounce the right English someday. Please take care! See you next time🤗 ほな、またね!

I don’t like saying “good luck” anymore. Learning a second language is “lucky” for people like Koki. But for those of us who wanted to become bilingual later in life, luck won’t help. We just need to focus on what matters. And what matters is focusing on English- in English. You can learn a lot on the internet for sure. Eventually, going out to an English speaking country would be best. Even then, make the most of today and do whatever you can do today for as long as possible- in English. Having said all that, good luck 💪🏻😅
Of course British English and Australian English are correct. American English is just one of many dialects. But I only speak one. My recommendation to anyone learning English is to pick ONE DIALECT and just mimic that one until you become bilingual. Once you feel comfortable with one, it’s fun to hear the differences between all the variety. Focusing on too many things at once just leads to inefficiency. So I invite you to listen to my channel if you wanna focus on my Californian English. If there was another channel that could focus on British or Australian English then that would be awesome 😎
Actually you have to go out into reality and talk to people, otherwise you’ll never talk. You can even start NOW by THINKING in English. Just open your video camera and record yourself speaking in English. Then watch yourself speak English. If you’re happy with what you hear, then you should just go out and talk to people! If you’re not happy with your English you have a bitter truth to face. Either give up English, or dedicate yourself to GETTING BETTER. So the choice is yours. But it all starts with AT LEAST trying💪🏻
Ya this channel is about learning English. But if we are talking about learning Japanese, everyone knows the difference between あんこ and ウンコ right? When Japanese people make a mistake in pronunciation, it is like anko/unko not hashi/hashi. And it worse it’s just not understandable. Without feedback, without failure it is impossible to learn. But to your analogy 橋 and 端 is a little harder for sure but the process to learn it is the same, don’t look and listen at least 100 times. Also knowing basic grammar so ハシを渡る is most likely bridge. Anyway language is first and foremost a sound and the written form is merely an imperfect visual avatar trying to represent something that physically cannot exist in a visual dimension. So if we can stick to the theme of this channel- which is how to learn English as a second languge- either you are learning or you’re not. And if you’re not then what are we talking about?
*I used translate because i really wanted to make sure the analogy across and i don’t have time to respond to every comment
俺の日本語はネイティブじゃないって当たり前じゃない?すみれさんは日本生まれだから英語ネイティブになるか?that becomes an interesting topic to discuss? Can anyone become a native speaker? I feel it’s worth a discussion. Anyone who discusses my Japanese is kicking a dead horse 😅

@@kysennpai Wikipedia said she learned Japanese around aged 19 so I would say she’s a native English speaker. I don’t think where you are born determines what your native language is. I was born in Japan but I’m grew up in the UK. I consider my first language to be English. I think in English and that’s the language comes first in my mind. I can still speak fluent Japanese but I don’t consider myself native 😅

私は面白いし、勉強になると思いました!少し話せるとペラペラと言われる日本ではちょうどいいくらいの鋭いレッスンだと思います!Comfort zone に入るとあまり上達しなくなるので。 Thank you!
Well this is a long story but I can’t understand some native accents. I can understand the Filipino accent but an Indian accent can be tricky. It all comes down to experience. For most people there’s no need to learn all the accents. Like Scottish is straight up impossible. So any accent is legit in its own land. But if you’re learning English as a second language, you get the chance to pick the accent you wanna study. I’d say you should pick one and pick one you like. And if you don’t know which one to pick, I’d say British or Californian is the most internationally recognized. Californian Accent is world famous because of Hollywood. Anyway be cool and be you- high five 🙌🏻
