Part 11 of a series charting the history of West Ham United during the four and a half years of Billy Bonds' management.
Up to now form has been OK, but following the announcement of the infamous Bond Scheme it drops through the floor. Fans are asked to pay between £500-£975 to reserve the right to buy a season ticket forvthe next 50 years. Those funds will be used to redevelop the stadium, the asset value will not benefit the fans only the board. Resentment runs high and it transmits to the team resulting in just one point from the next six league games and an exit from the League Cup. Performances are so poor there's little prospect of things improving in 1992.
