I just started working for a startup as a Content Marketer (mainly making videos for our KZitem channel) and loved this! Especially the last tip. As a beginner myself, I can confirm that it's super easy to get frustrated or burnout and forget you should be having fun throughout the whole process. Thanks James, I am glad to have run into your channel. Subscribed!

Tip: Create content in batch 1) write ur script/outline 2) prepare set and lighting beforehand 3) charge everything in advance 4) plan ur outfits (at least top) for each video 5) hair and makeup 6) get an assistant (lol I’m not doing that anytime soon) 7) extra batteries for stuff with batteries 8) mic check 9) cut out all noise 10) spare hard drive for storage 11) have fun while filming (so ur viewers know u’re not dead inside.. even if u are) The brackets are my thoughts- Goodluck!

Very useful video. I must say, i have yet to do my own first video. Been watching a ton on KZitem and thought, how hard could it be? So I purchase a lapel microphone, a selfie stick with a small tripod and and attachment for my iphone7. Well...after a few attempts, I have a whole new appreciation for all the folks making KZitem videos. To say the least, I at least have gotten a bunch of laughs at myself on how bad my attempts are. Will take your suggestions to heart and keep trying. Thanks.

When you talked about buying massive amounts of batteries why not just buy a few sets of each type of rechargeable battery type and keep them alternating on a charger so you can always rotate fresh batteries and not have to keep buying disposable batteries. I keep an energizer 4 pack of AA or AAA plugged into the wall so I always have fresh batteries ready to go and can throw the dead ones on the charger. Good tips. New subscriber.
