Work , Energy and Power
Conservative and Non Conservative forces | Elastic and Inelastic Collision
In this video you can learn how to define the conservative force and non conservative forces and the comparison of conservative and non conservative force. It is an important physics question which will be asked in board exam. Also you can learn how to differentiate the elastic and inelastic collision.
Conservative force is one in which the work done is independent of the path whereas the non conservative force is one in which the work done depends on the path. Similarly the total energy is constant which is also implies that the energy is completely recoverable in case of conservative force. But in non conservative force the energy is dissipated as heat.
Elastic collision can be analyzed using two conservation laws. one is law of conservation of linear momentum and the second is law of conservation of kinetic energy. Two types of collisions are elastic and inelastic collision.
By watching this video you can able to answer the following questions
1. What is conservative force and give some examples
2. What is non conservative force and give some examples
3. Compare the conservative and non conservative force
4. What are the differences between elastic and inelastic collision?
