I agree with everything you said except that relationships happen to us, that puts us in a victim mentality giving our power away to those relationships. Relationships don’t happen to us they happen for us, we chose those relationships on a soul level for us to grow, learn lesson and evolve in our lives

I use intake forms, I so agree, they're extremely helpful for both coach and coachee. I love the intention setting rather than goal setting. I think for some people, goals have a way to evolve, and so intentions work as the guideposts. Journaling is love!!! Great tips, love all of them, thank you!!

I am a cognitive-behavioral coach. It was lovely to find some of the techniques in your video. Also, I like the part with intentions instead of goals. I think goals are somehow overrated and also take some of the freedom or joy out. Intention gives freedom.

I love the idea of setting intentions instead of goals! I am the worst at achieving goals and it can be discouraging but in the end, even though I didn't reach the goal I still made progress and often I realize that my goal was not quite right for me at the time. I would love a whole video on this topic!

Hiii,need to know more about Socratic q,and also about journaling is it daily or just about the intentions
@mindvalleycoach
Жыл бұрын
Great questions! Journaling is a powerful tool, best used daily, but it also depends on each individual while they are building the new habit. But ideally, it should be daily. The intentions practice is about goal-setting, setting intentions instead of setting rigid goals (here are 2 great videos on goals and intention-setting we recommend watching: kzitem.info/news/bejne/qaOK3quGiaSBa5g and kzitem.info/news/bejne/oqavyKB8gaeEeJg). Regarding the socratic questioning, we don't have a video particularly on that, but here's an article you might find useful: positivepsychology.com/socratic-questioning. Thanks for asking!

This was super helpful , thank you! Could you give an example of an intention vs a goal - im not so clear about that bit. Thanks 😊
@mindvalleycoach
Жыл бұрын
Glad it was, Caroline! And sure, here it goes: A goal can be to lose 10 pounds or run 5K daily. The intention could be to get healthy, make daily decisions that are healthy, be able to play with your kids for longer without getting tired, etc... The intention would be how you want to feel and embrace that feeling every day instead of chasing future goals. We hope that clarifies. Thanks for asking :)
