If you are just taking other people models and work and printing them to show off on video you really should link the models.

@aussieobserver3219 TBF, when the KZitemr doesn't credit their team, it can be hard to know they exist. I know Chris has mentioned who works with him before, but if you're new to the channel, or tend to just watch his magic videos, you might get that impression.

Great video, but not giving attribution to the model sources isn't the greatest look. A lot of designers worked hard on those models, and would appreciate any traffic this video generates. In particular, I would love to find the one that changes gender based on perspective, but I have not been able to locate it anywhere

loved this. The part you said about how some of them don't make sense until they're at a specific angle and then boom, everything lines up - reminds me of the stone puzzles in AC Valhalla; they had the same mechanism where you had to be in a specific spot, looking at the stones (with the design) at a specific angle before they all lined up and made sense. Wonderful physical 'real world' representation of that (although I guess the IRL version came first, nevertheless..) Nice switch-up from the puzzle solving.

If you reverse the effect of the first illusion (by spinning the green parts), that’s how the one pub pirate in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean “drinks” rum. The “rum” is actually a twisted rum-colored plastic rod that’s suspended in the skeleton and then rotated. The M.C.Escher stairs is what inspired the room of haunted stairways in Disney World’s Haunted Mansion. Try also looking at the “Gathering 4 Gardner” dragon illusion...

Maybe its because I have seen the ame's window explained, but I think the crank conflicts with the illusion. My brain sees the window starting to occilate but then notices that the crank motion hasn't changed, causing the window illusion to 'correct', meaning I see it rotating as it really is. Maybe stick a nail in the window to act as a pivot, and the nail is put through an eye. The nail head catches the eye, holding the window aloft while allowing it to spin freely

I can kind of see how the window illusion works because it's just in how the sides of the window (the "edge" that you see when it is at an angle pointed towards you, ie. forced perspective) is added into the design. You are spinning it in one direction, but the design remains the same from your perspective, just mirrored. Just thinking about Mr. Sugihara's design, I can clearly see how to make a square hole in a circle switch in its reflection (round hole in a square)
