Thank you for the Bible verse and I'm glad you got to experience the Alaskan moose hunt. Most of rural Alaskan depend on a subsistence lifestyle. Growing up, i believed that thats how everyone was around the world but as i grew older i saw how big of a difference it was but i respect that. So hunting is not always about the fun but it is for us to survive the long cold winter months. Good luck next year!

@@tracywubben3786 I’d say supreme effort in getting a moose. I love Sherps, it’s why I do what I do. I wasn’t paid to go on this trip, I actually paid a lot out of my own pocket for it and was blessed enough to get some help from sherp for travel expenses. I just show people what the machines can do and let them speak for themselves:).

It has always been my dream to do things like this, and to live in a place like this. I watch a lot of people doing things and having awesome experiences and adventures and lives and would really like to get out there one day. I’m just going to start asking everyone that I see doing these things how did you get to this position in your life to where you’re able to do these things? And what do you do for work and how did you get into that line of work? I look forward to hearing back from you brother in Christ and good luck out there and be safe while enjoying Gods creation.

Hi Chase, I actually sell Sherps for a living! My family took a gamble back in 2017 and we became the first sherp dealership in the USA. We started by just selling out of an old shed and barn we had and were blessed to slowly grow SHERP USA to what it is today. I personally have always tried to live within my means as much as possible and have minimal debt. When I got married my wife and I bought a foreclosed trailer house with some cash we had and slowly fixed it up over the last few years. We put it on a piece of property in the woods and still live out of it today! We’ve never owned a new vehicle, and try to do all of our own maintenance on things. Living close to debt free has made making BAD financial decisions (like a trip to Alaska) more possible at a young age since we don’t have a big mortgage or car payments looming over our head. God bless!

How much fuel this machine use on the trip person man
@richardbrooks3569
17 сағат бұрын
I looked up the fuel efficiency of a Sherp and it said 300-400 miles. Did you go back there without a full tank?
@UpNorthOutdoors
16 сағат бұрын
Yes under normal circumstances that is the fuel economy, but since all of this terrain was so nasty, I was only running in 1st and 2nd gear at high RPMs the entire time for 20+ hours. If you were to run in higher gears you can definitely get 300-400 out of the main tank.

Don’t get me wrong, this is cool. I did not watch the whole video, but I have to call out the “doing it without leaving a trace”. You are very obviously leaving a pretty significant trace. If it’s legal there than whatever, but don’t kid yourself that you are following LNT by taking a sherp off trail. I’m jumping around and watching you guys just dig massive holes in the grass. Especially with how they steer. Maybe I’m missing something, and I’d really love to know how this is legal.
@UpNorthOutdoors
Күн бұрын
@@n0pe213 the portions where we were tearing through mud were on already established ATV trails and were already shredded by local ATVs and side by sides. The portions where we went off trials over the mountains (which is allowed in Alaska) we left very little trace compared to other vehicles that are used like ATV’s, side by sides, and moose buggies.
@mathewjaycox843

I hope you are not ruining some ATV trails by running them with these much bigger machines.
@UpNorthOutdoors
8 сағат бұрын
@@mathewjaycox843 these bigger machines actually rut up the trials less than traditional ATVs. With their light weight and ultra low PSI tires (we were running 1 psi) they make much less impact. The areas in the video where you see it’s torn up and very muddy, is us following trails that were already torn up by ATVs and side by sides.
