I am happy you do a lot beter, now you discovered the reason of your not feeling well! This evening I found your video’s and they helped me a lot, specially the one about living with an ICD. I myself had a cardiac arrest on 31 August 2024, and got an ICD as a present for my 62 birthday on 4 september this year. So its just a few weeks and I get more and more used to it, i try to view it as my best friend. Hartelijke groeten uit NL!

Great video, Jellis! Truly some fantastic insights! I agree with point 8 most of all, a connection with a good friend is so valuable and often overlooked in our society!

Hey! 😁 Thanks for the comment. And yep, building and maintaining friendships is vital. It's often less invested in than romantic relationships.

Another great video Jellis! Some truly thought provoking insights. They make so much sense. Thank you for sharing your experiences so openly & honestly. Your work has really helped me over the last year since I was diagnosed with ACM & had an ICD fitted. Thank you. P.s….just downloaded Tuesdays with Maurie. Mitch Albom is a fantastic author 😊

An amazing book and fast read is Tuesdays with Morrie. It’s true story about a sociology professor who has ALS and is going to die so he wants to teach his former student what the meaning of life is. The book is written by that very former student. They also made e movie of it that I think is free on You Tube. So many strong life lessons I got from Morrie Schwartz I apply to myself daily. Now at 51 and with an ICD, they resonate even stronger. Thank you for sharing.
